KENNYWOOD TRIP UPDATE! (June 12th) I am pleased to announce that the bus to Kennywood has been completely filled. If any other altar server wishes to attend, I will be more than happy to buy your ticket, but you would have to arrange your own transportation. We will be contacting you over the next couple of weeks to arrange payment. You can either bring it by the St. Anthony Office between the hours of 9 a.m.—2 p.m. weekdays, or leave it in the collection basket marked to our attention. Let’s pray for nice weather! —Fr. John

For May 15-16, 2010 A Family Perspective by Bud Ozar In the gospel Jesus prayed “that all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you.” Unity is the goal of families, not uniformity. With uniformity everything is exactly alike. With unity, differences are accepted and reconciled. In a family we do not lose our individual personalities but cre-ate something greater, a family which is a sign of God’s presence.

Homebound Helpers Needed! Ever since the very first day I arrived here, I have wanted to establish a Lay Per-son Homebound Visitation program. That is, I am looking for volunteers to bring Communion on (at least) a monthly basis to our parishioners who are Homebound. Now that the Deacon is here, he is going to help me estab-lish this program. Not counting the nursing homes, I have on my list 12 shut-ins for Holy Spirit and 6 shut-ins for St. Anthony. The following people from both parishes have expressed an interest: Jane Bonasso, John White, Joe Meluzio, Sandra Costello and Mike Nunan. If anyone else is interested, please call the office. The more volun-teers that we have, the more our Homebound people that we can see. If you know someone who needs to be added to my list, please contact the office.—Fr. John
