Presentation is the practice of showing and
explaining the content of a topic to an
audience or learner
Structure
• Briefly present what you are going to talk about
• Elaborate on the subject you are presenting
• Summarize what was just discussed
Building the presentation
Key messages
1. Choose a maximum of 3 key messages that you want to transmit to your audience.
2. Making it last – make sure that your audience will
remember what you were talking about
3. Make sure you put an emphasis on the key messages and link them to how they could be put into
practice. Provide an example for each topic.

Eyes
• Always look at your audience!
• Try to “draw” with your eyes a letter “M” or “Z” on the audience in front. While looking at your audience this way you may be sure that everybody will “feel your sight”

Mouth
1. Tone, pace of voice, intonation etc. must be kept in balance.
2. Loudness: your voice must be able to reach the last rows
3. Silence tool helps people reflect on what they hear

• Use them to emphasize your words
• Never cross them in front of you, it shows defense!

• Don’t stay still. Walk around your “stage” smoothly
