THE NEWSLETTER FOR KIER NORTH TYNESIDE AND KBM EAST DURHAM

You Said - We Did

I hope you have all seen the ‘You Said – We Did’ feedback that has been produced on a

monthly basis.

This is feedback to questions and ideas that are put

into the suggestion boxes to aid two way

communication across the business.

Site based staff - Look out for your suggestion boxes

that will be coming to your site very soon.

Kier Ducklings!

From This….. To This!

You may or may not know that we had Ducks living with us at Kier North Tyneside until very recently!

A mother duck took a shine to our offices in Killingworth and chose the staff garden as a place to raise her 11

ducklings.

The ducklings hatched in June, and they were instantly popular with all staff on the site. During lunch breaks some

staff put their skills to good use and built the ducklings a pond and sheltered area. The IT department also set up a

webcam so we could keep an eye on them!

John Norton said: “The new additions to the Kier North Tyneside ‘family’ became firm favourites with the whole

team, with many people bringing in food to feed the brood. These are the first to make our garden their home and

we hope they return next year.”

Ginny Tapsfield from North Tyneside Stars

said: “Thank you so much for another

generous donation to our STARS fund. With

the money we will be able to continue to

provide fun activities for deaf youngsters and

their families in North Tyneside.”
