Not only do you have a selection of various seat models and the very finest upholstery materials – it is now possible to align the seat features with even more precision to suit your requirements and the tastes of your passengers. Suspension seat cushions ensure maximum travelling comfort, and the intuitive operation of every aspect makes individual seat adjustments extremely simple.

As passengers gaze through the TopSky glass roof, they can enjoy excellent comfort provided by the TopAir air-conditioning system, the benefits of the state-of-the-art multimedia equipment with large flat screens and the smooth, quiet ride as the coach cruises down the road. Comfort comes first The very best conditions for the driver

The comfort of your passengers also depends on how relaxed and concentrated your driver is while on the road. We have therefore taken on the challenge of designing his workplace to be as

comfortable, ergonomic and functional as possible. The spacious and modern cockpit as well as the first-rate driver’s seat, which can be adjusted with precision and also permits relaxed sitting that is easy on the back even on long hauls, serve as the perfect basis.

Many well thought through details for the cockpit help ensure the utmost in comfort. The exterior rear view mirrors, which fold back at the press of a button if the way becomes narrow, are just one of many examples. To make sure that your driver always has a clear view of not only the road but also critical vehicle information, TopClass is equipped with an innovative 3D combination instrument. It alerts to open covers or doors, among other things, and includes a travel computer and fuel consumption indicator.

The adjustable multifunction steering wheel makes it possible to set many functions with ease at the press of a button while a separate climate control system contributes greatly to the driver’s level of comfort. And not least importantly, the separate cockpit door makes entering the TopClass conveniently easy and pleasant.

The feeling of having the best possible protection Our holistic approach to safety

Discovering cultures, encountering new people, enjoying breathtaking landscapes – these are moments charged with emotion for your

passengers. With a Setra TopClass, you give them that good feeling of being safe on the road. This has been made possible with holistic safety concepts whose elements are interlinked across all vehicle components. These include a whole range of active and passive systems which support the driver and minimise the consequences if worse comes to worst and an accident happens.

Making driving easier.For example, with an ergonomic cockpit design for the utmost in operating comfort plus innovative assistance systems such as the retarder limiter (RL) and the optional adaptive cruise control (ACC).

Improving perception.Modern mirror systems, powerful lighting systems such as Litronic Xenon lights and automatic cornering lamp increase the high protection potential as do the light and rain sensors.

Supporting reactions.For instance, the Electronic Stability Programme (ESP™®) considerably reduces the risk of skidding, while the anti-blocking system (ABS), retarder and traction control system (TCS) ensure safe braking and starting. In addition, Active Brake Assist (ABA) und Lane Change Assistant (LCA) provide the driver with optimum support in critical situations.

Minimising damages.The TopClass’ integrated roll bars make for a passenger compartment that can withstand great impact. The Front Collision Guard (FCG)* offers the best possible protection for the driver and attendant.

The cornering lamp

At speeds of less than 40 km/h, the fog

spotlights automatically convert to

cornering lamps and illuminate curves

with a reflector; this is dependent on

the indicators, position of the steering

wheel and speed.

The Lane Change Assistant (LCA)

continuously measures the lateral

distance to the lane markings and

alerts the driver by means of a

vibration in the seat if he/she leaves

the correct lane.

The retarder limiter (RL)

prevents the vehicle from accelerating

to speeds exceeding the permissible

limit of 100 km/h when going downhill

and thus effectively stabilises the

speed.

More protection when it is necessaryBy far the best distance to keep

The greatest possible safety for your driver is a special priority at Setra. The more effective the protection and support of the driver is, the safer it

is too for all other occupants of the bus on the road.

For instance, the adaptive cruise control (ACC) relieves your driver by automatically maintaining a set distance to the vehicle in front on the basis of continuous measurements. On roads and motorways this boosts not only safety but also comfort. If the bus comes closer than the specified distance, Active Brake Assist (ABA) goes into action. It initiates automatic braking of the vehicle and, if the driver fails to respond to the

visual and acoustic system alerts, performs emergency braking.

If despite these measures a head-on collision is inevitable, the Front Collision Guard* (FCG) realises its protection potential by providing a protected area for the driver and attendant.It is reassuring to have modern systems such as these on board.

S 415 HD 12-metre class: The only thing standard about the S 415 HD is its

proven length – otherwise it remains in a class all its own. The ideal vehicle for a

wide range of different applications: whether an excursion or a luxury trip.

S 411 HD Compact: Measuring 10.10 metres in length, this typical “club bus” is

just right for small, exclusive groups – and turns them into lucrative customers. An

ideal addition to your fleet.

The powerful S 415 HDH:  Thanks to its high load capacity, it leaves a lot

of room for the features you wish – from onboard kitchen to TopSky glass roof. Its

three axles guarantee high levels of comfort on the road, und the RAS trailing axle

ensures agility even in sharp bends.

The spacious S 416 HDH:  One of the most popular Setra models. Thanks

to its high baggage hold capacity of 12.6 m2, it provides space even for large

baggage items. Moreover, its seating has been optimised for the highest possible

yield.

The longest S 417 HDH:  The S 417 HDH with its great length boasts the

largest baggage hold in its class. This makes it a specialist for long-distance

travel routes. With a turning circle of 23.30 metres, it excels with more agility

than many of its shorter counterparts.

The flagship S 431 DT:  The king of the king’s class impresses not only on

the road but also on the balance sheet. With up to 87 passengers, the luxurious

double-decker traverses the road with considerably greater economy than two

single vehicles.

In addition to other aspects, size is a consideration in whether a coach pays off for you and your company in the long run. Ultimately, the more precisely its capacity and features suit your specific purposes,
