02 | TRAIL DANCE FILM FESTIVAL

Are your Show Times exact? Trail Dance Technical Staff make every effort for a film to start at its scheduled time.... that being said, sometimes Filmmaker Q&As run long and films may start early or late. It is a good practice to arrive a bit early for the film you want to see.

What makes Trail Dance screenings different? Film festivals are a stepping stone for filmmakers on their way to stardom and an outlet for people with a specific passion - this means that the Director, Producer, Cast, and Crew are often on hand to offer information and answer questions. The films are also from every corner of the globe and offer many perspectives and views. Many of the films screening are Oklahoma, International, or even World Premiers - so you could be among the first to see a film before it ever hits theaters or store shelves.

Are your films rated? Most of the films at Trail Dance have not yet been rated by the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) and therefore have not received an ‘Official’ rating; however, we have created a ratings system based on MPAA standards giving consideration to the local viewing audience. Festival goers should exercise discretion when attending a film.

What is Trail Dance? The TRAIL DANCE FILM FESTIVAL introduces up-and-coming filmmakers from around the globe to Oklahoma’s emergent film industry, and provides a welcoming forum to showcase films...all amidst a beautiful Western landscape. The Trail Dance Film Festival’s goal is to encourage originality and creativity in film and promote the film industry in Oklahoma. This two-day festival includes 99 independently produced films. These films are funded, written, shot, and starring high-school and college students, film enthusiasts, and seasoned professionals. Trail Dance concludes with a grand awards gala where custom-sculpted Golden Drover Awards are presented to winning filmmakers.
