This is a three week advanced course which enables you to master the technique of
modeling heat transfer using commercial CFD software ANSYS FLUENT™

Course Overview
Heat transfer is highly common phenomenon in any equipment or process in industry
and CFD modeling of heat transfer is a standard practice. This course will introduce you to
fundamentals of heat transfer and will progress towards detailed heat transfer analysis using
ANSYS FLUENT™. It combines theoretical knowledge and software tool knowledge in order to
provide you with proficiency to perform CFD analysis of any type of heat transfer problem. All
aspects of software training will be covered starting from fundamentals of heat transfer, details
of all heat transfer options and model parameters as well as how to analyse or post process
results.

Course Pre-requisites
Course has no pre-requisites but participants having knowledge of heat transfer, fluid
mechanics and numerical methods would get extra advantage. The course assumes that you
are well versed with the basics of Heat transfer, Fluid mechanics and Mathematics at early
engineering graduation level.

Course Benefits
Being an advanced course, participants will be trained in fundamentals of heat transfer
as well as how to use CFD tool to model heat transfer phenomenon. Successful certification of
this course enables a participant with gain proficiency in modeling any type of heat transfer
problem using ANSYS FLUENT™.
LearnCAx's courses on CAD and CFD are focused towards imparting domain knowledge
that empowers participants to solve real life CFD challenges with ease. These are focused
courses covering specific domain and industry needs.
Participants can take courses, tests and submit project at their convenience. We have
created a 24 X 7 learning environment; where in the participants (if required) can complete the
course in less than three weeks. Working professionals and students located at distance have
found these online extremely useful and they addresses their needs without traveling or
attending the classroom session (which can clash with pre committed appointments or work-
schedule).
Course Format
The class consists of lecture videos, which are broken into small chunks, usually
between fifteen and twenty minutes each. Total duration of the course would be three weeks.
There will be approximately two to three hours of video content per week. Software tutorials
are made available for practicing and developing software skills on typical test cases. At the end
of each session there will be tests to be taken each week and a final project at the end of the
course. You would be eligible for certification after successful completion of the course. The
completion of the course is subjected to the test results and the successful completion of the
project.
