Drop-in Activities

Pre-School Art Planned and led by an enthusiastic team of volunteers, this parent and child activity is incredibly popular! Short thirty minute sessions with easy to make seasonal arts and crafts. Pre-booking recommended!

Bouncy Castle & Soft Play Join your little ones in burning off some energy in our sports hall, complete with bouncy castle, soft play shapes, balls and

Youth Drop-in Over eights can hang out in our youth area for up to two hours unsupervised after school or at the weekend. Complete with games consoles, computers, free wi-fi, pool, air hockey and basketball, there’s plenty to keep them busy. If the sports hall is free, they can use that too!

Youth Club The flagship of our youth provision, youth club is where we hand the Centre over to our young people for two hours of organised chaos! Attracting over 100 young people every week, youth club offers young people a place to let off some steam, relax with their friends and meet new people in a safe, friendly and energetic environment. With different activities each week alongside our regular offerings, there really is something for everyone!

back, meet up with friends and try out different activities… there’s even free food!

Term Time Activities

Gymnastics Whether your young person is just starting out or has done gymnastics before, these fun filled, mixed ability classes put the emphasis very much on personal achievement. Young people work at their own pace through the Scottish Gymnastics Award scheme. Pre-School (3+) Mondays 2.00pm - 2.45pm

Badminton Mixed ability classes enable young people to learn and play badminton with their friends in a relaxed, friendly environment.

Development classes offer more intensive coaching with a focus on preparing for competition.

Sparklafive Exclusive to the Dunblane Centre, Sparklafive encompasses yoga, Pilates, mindfulness and meditation into one cool, chilled out session aimed specifically at young people.

Drama One of our most popular activities, our drama classes are aimed at building

confidence, improving performance skills and wearing hats! (ask about Hat Wednesday!) Each term features a new topic including fairy tales, superheroes, pantomime and even Shakespeare and every session is finished off with the now famous ‘Rubber Chicken’!

Funky Science Funky Science allows children to explore the world around them, ask questions, make predictions and test out their theories. Covers basic biology, chemistry, physics and even psychology through hands on experiments and exciting demonstrations.

The Lego Brick Club The Lego Brick Club combines technology and engineering to encourage problem solving, creative thinking and teamwork,

all through the medium of little plastic bricks! Ideal for any Lego brick fan or future engineer!

Performing Arts

Show in a Week By far the biggest youth event we produce at the Centre, Show in a Week will return for its thirteenth year in 2018! From first rehearsal to performance in a week, young people work with a professional production and technical team to put on a full Broadway show!

Show in a Week Senior It’s show in a week, for teens! Open to everyone in S1+,

Rehearsals take place over the October half term with later rehearsal times and performances the following

week. Previous shows have included The Addams Family, Grease and Les Misérables.

Panto It’s behind you! Oh no it’s not! Join some of our adult cast for lots of pantomime madness featuring all the classic routines, songs you’ll know and love and no doubt a forgotten line or two! Rehearsals take place every Sunday, 2pm—5pm from September to December.
