This Fair Trading Agreement applies to all coach holidays within thisbrochure and any subsequent leaflets issued during 2015/16. Thisagreement sets out the responsibilities which Globe Holidays Ltdhave to you and which you in turn have to us when a contract is madebetween us. The contract is made when you make a booking and weaccept it by written confirmation on the terms stated in this brochure.When confirming your holiday, you will agree on behalf of yourselfand others named in your party that you have read, understood andaccepted this fair trading agreement. Your obligation is to pay theprice of the holiday and recognise your liabilities if you choose toalter the holiday or make a cancellation. On our part, we have anobligation to provide you with the holiday you have booked. Ourspecification of that holiday and our terms are stated in this brochure.Your contract is entered into with Globe Holidays Ltd, 60 Eldon Street,Barnsley S70 2JL.

How to make a bookingWe welcome you making contact with us in a number of ways. Youcan write to us, phone us, visit our booking office or use a bookingagent. Whichever way you contact us, the contract is made when yourbooking is entered on to our reservation system and we issue aconfirmation of booking. We will send you confirmation of yourbooking within 7 working days. Please check this confirmation verycarefully to ensure all the information is correct and tell usimmediately of any errors.

Paying for your holidayWe reserve the right to alter the prices of any of the holidays that weadvertise. At the time of booking you will be told the current price ofthe holiday. You can book by paying a deposit for each person namedon the booking. You will be told at what point in time you willbecome committed to a booking, but we are not committed to thebooking until such time as we provide you with our confirmation ofbooking. Our commitment is always conditional upon any balancebeing paid before the latest date shown on your bookingconfirmation. If you book within our balance due period you will needto pay the total cost at the time of your booking. If you do not pay theoutstanding balance for your holiday on or before the date when it isdue we may cancel your booking and you will be required to pay thecancellation charges detailed below. The date of cancellation willnormally be the date on which we receive your written confirmationthat you intend to cancel or 15 days after the balance due date,whichever comes first.

• Deposit £50.00 per person • Your balance is due 6 weeks prior to departure.

Changes to the price of your holidayThe price of your holiday can be varied due to changes in:-• Transportation costs such as fuel and/or fuel tax, ferry operator

fares and tolls, embarkation or disembarkation fees at terminals;• Exchange rates applied to the particular package booked; or• Dues and taxes including changes in VAT or any other Government

imposed charges.If this means that you would have to pay an increase of more than10% of the price of your holiday before increase, you may cancel itand receive a full refund of all monies paid, except for anyamendment charges. We will consider an appropriate refund ofinsurance premiums paid if you can show that you are unable totransfer or reuse your policy. Should you decide to cancel for thisreason, you must exercise your right to do so within 14 days from theissue date printed on your revised invoice. Alternatively, you canaccept an offer of an alternative comparable holiday of equivalent orsuperior quality. You may then transfer payment made in respect ofthe original holiday to the alternative holiday. If the cost of thealternative holiday is less than the original, the difference in pricewill be refunded.

Making changes to your holiday arrangementsAfter we have issued our booking confirmation we will do our best toaccommodate any changes you may want to make but we cannotguarantee to do so. Any changes must be notified to us in writing andsigned by the person who signed the booking form. If we are able to

make the changes an amendment fee of £25.00 per bookingconfirmation will be payable plus the cost that we incur in making theamendment. The costs of making a change increases the closer to thedeparture date you want to make it. Any significant alteration afterthe balance date will be treated as a cancellation and will be subjectto the cancellation charges detailed in this charter. Somearrangements, like particular types of tickets, cannot be changedwithout paying a cancellation charge of up to 100% of the cost of theticket.

Transferring your booking to someone elseYou can transfer your booking to someone else provided you give usreasonable notice. This person must be able to satisfy all theconditions for the booking and a change cannot normally be madelater than 14 days prior to departure. We will make an administrationcharge of £25.00 per person for every transfer we make plus anyreasonable additional costs caused by the transfer. You will remainresponsible for ensuring that the holiday is paid for by the balancedue date.

Cancelling your holidayYou, or any member of your party, may cancel at any time providedthat the cancellation is made by the person in whose name we issuedthe confirmation of booking and is communicated to us in writing.You will have to pay cancellation charges set out in the scale below tocover our estimated loss resulting from the cancellation. If you areinsured against cancellation you may be able to recover the chargesfrom your insurers. Your cancellation will take effect from the datewe receive your written confirmation of your cancellation. You mustalso return any tickets or vouchers that you have received. Areduction in room occupancy may increase the charges for theremaining passengers by the application of supplements for lowoccupancy of rooms.

If we change your holiday arrangementsThe arrangements for your holiday will usually have been made manymonths in advance. Sometimes changes are unavoidable and wereserve the right to make them at any time. Most of these changesare likely to be minor and we will do our best to keep you informed.If, after booking and before departure, we make a significant changeto your holiday you will have the option of withdrawing from theholiday without penalty or alternatively you may transfer to anotherholiday without paying an administration fee. A significant changeincludes a change in departure time or return time of more than 12hours, a change of departure point, location of resort or type of hotel,(excluding single overnight hotels on touring packages where thequality of the hotel is comparable). On all of our holidays we reservethe right to use either a ferry or Channel Tunnel crossing for thejourney between England and France.

Complaints procedureIf you have a complaint during your holiday you should tell the driverat the earliest opportunity so that they can do their utmost to resolvethe problem immediately. If they are unable to resolve the problemto your satisfaction you should complete a Holiday Report Form. If, onyour return from your holiday, you remain dissatisfied you shouldwrite within 28 days to Globe Holidays Ltd, 60 Eldon Street, BarnsleyS70 2JL. If you do not tell us at the earliest opportunity about aproblem giving rise to your complaint we cannot take steps toinvestigate and rectify it at the time. We will take into account thedate you first drew the problem to our attention when responding to

your complaint and it may affect your rights if we have not been ableto investigate and remedy the situation at the time.

Child reductionsA % reduction on holidays may be available for children upto the ageof 14yrs when sharing a room with two full fare paying passengers.Discounts will be subject to any reduction offered by the hotel usedfor the holiday and any child reductions offered by included visits asdetailed in your holiday itinerary.

Our coachesWe will always endeavour to provide a coach to the specification asadvertised, but reserve the right to substitute an alternative vehicleshould unforeseen circumstances arise. There is a seating plan of thecoach for each holiday, but it is possible that on occasionsoperational reasons will require a coach with a different configurationto be used. We therefore reserve the right to alter a coach-seatingplan and allocate seats other than those you have booked. Requestsfor particular seats can be made on most holidays when booking, butallocations are made on a first come, first served basis, so earlybooking is recommended. When booking you will be offered the bestseats available at that time. Specific seats will not be allocated oncoaches which operate feeder services between joining points andmain holiday departure points or on coaches which carry outtransfers to and from seaports or airports.

No smoking policySmoking is not permitted on our coaches.

Hotel facilitiesSome hotel facilities, such as leisure facilities, may from time to timebe withdrawn for routine maintenance or be subject to seasonalavailability. The provision of these facilities is therefore notguaranteed.

Passenger behaviourWe want all our customers to have a happy and carefree holiday. Butyou must remember that you are responsible for your behaviour andthe effect it may have on others. If you or any member of your partyis abusive or disruptive or behaves in a way which, in our reasonableopinion, could cause damage or injury to others or affect theirenjoyment of their holiday, or which could damage property, we havethe right, after reasonable consideration, to terminate your contractwith us. If this happens we will have no further obligations orliability to you. If you are refused boarding on the outward journeywe will regard it as a cancellation and we will apply cancellationcharges. If the refusal is on the return journey we have the right toterminate the contract and will have no further obligations or liabilityto you.

Pick up point, itineraries and traveldocumentsYou are responsible for ensuring that you are at the correct departurepoint, at the correct time, with the correct documents and we cannotbe held liable for any loss or expense suffered by you or your partybecause of an incorrect passport or late arrival at the departure point.If you are a British citizen travelling outside the United Kingdom youmust have a full UK passport. Non-UK citizens must seek passport andvisa advice from the relevant consulates or embassies of thecountries you plan to visit prior to making a booking. The name onthe passport must match the name on the ticket. When you have paidthe balance, we will send you all the necessary final traveldocuments/labels so that you receive them in good time for yourholiday. Certain travel documents may have to be retained by us andyour driver/courier will then issue them to you at the relevant time.Excursions which are included in the cost of your booking and arepart of your holiday are detailed on the relevant brochure page andrefunds will not be made for any excursion not taken. Optionalexcursions may be booked and paid for in resort but these will notform part of your booking.

DelaysYour travel insurance may cover you for some delays. In additionwhere you are delayed for more than six hours in any one day we willseek to minimise any discomfort.

Travel insuranceWe strongly advise all our customers to take out travel insurance tocover medical and repatriation costs, personal injury, loss of baggageand cancellation charges. If you do not have adequate insurance andrequire our assistance during your holiday, we reserve the right toreclaim from you any medical repatriation or other expenses whichwe may incur on your behalf which would otherwise have been metby insurers.

Passengers with disabilities Not all the holidays in this brochure may be suitable for you and if wereasonably consider we cannot provide what is required, we will notaccept the booking.

Should you or a member of your party have any medical condition ordisability that may affect your/their holiday or that of otherpassengers, you must provide full written details to us at the time ofbooking so that we can advise you of the suitability of the holiday. Ifa particular issue is identified, we reserve the right to request adoctor’s certificate confirming that the passenger is fit for travel andreserve the right to refuse any booking in the absence of suchdoctor’s certificate being produced upon request. If a passengerrequires personal assistance (e.gfeeding/dressing/toileting/mobilising) then this passenger musttravel with an able bodied companion/carer and written confirmationthat such assistance will be provided for the entirety of the holiday isrequired at the time of booking. Whilst we will make everyreasonable adjustment to do so, if we are unable to accommodate theneeds of a passenger or believe that the medical condition ordisability of a passenger is likely to adversely affect other passengers,we reserve the right to decline the booking. We want you to enjoyyour holiday and will try to help you select an appropriate trip.

Special requestsIf you require a special diet please tell us before booking, or as soonas you are medically advised. We will notify the hotel or hotelsidentified in your booking but please note that some hotels may nothave facilities to provide special diets and we cannot be held liablefor their failure to do so unless the hotel has confirmed in writing thata special diet will be catered for. Any extra costs incurred by youduring your holiday must be paid to the hotel by you prior todeparture from the hotel. You should also detail any other requests,for example, low floor rooms, particular rooms or locations on thespecial requests section of the booking form. We will pass yourrequest to the relevant supplier but this does not necessarily meanthat your request will be fulfilled.

Single occupancySingle occupancy of rooms when available may be subject to asupplementary charge and this will be shown on the brochure page.

Entertainment Some hotels arrange additional entertainment, where this is part ofthe holiday details are given on the respective brochure page. Whereit is not specified it may still be available but is at the discretion ofthe hotel and is not guaranteed. It may be withdrawn if there is a lackof demand or for operational reasons.

LuggageWe ask you to keep luggage to 1 medium sized suitcase (max 20kgs)person, but a small hold-all can also be taken on board the coach onBritish tours. Excess luggage will only be taken if coach spacepermits. Each item must have a luggage label attached. All baggageand personal belongings are carried at owners risk and the companywill not accept any responsibility for loss or damage except wheresuch loss or damage is caused by the proven negligence or a companyemployee. We draw your attention to the fact that soft-sidedsuitcases are more susceptible to damage without any negligence onthe part of our staff.

This service isavailable to every passenger living within a 10 mile radius of York, Harrogate and Wetherby. A free return service also operates.
