IN MEMORY OF SAGARAN PONNIAH
During one of Pujya Sri Swamiji’s trip to Malaysian devotees organized Samuterathanam (sea bath) in Port Dickson during this occasion Sri Sagaran took owe to be an vegetarian for rest of his life and surrendered at the Lotus Feet of Pujya Sri Swamiji.
He also played key role in initiating security team to look after Swamiji’s needs. Sri Sagaran played a crucial role in formation of Sri Datta Humane Services in India and he also felt that similar kind of entity is much required for local Malaysian volunteers to serve local activities effectively. In 2013, with the blessings of Pujya Sri Swamiji and also with the
advice of Uncle Sri K. Narayana Rao, Sri Sagaran initiated & registered PERSATUAN
KHIDMAT KEMANUSIAAN SRI DATTA in Malaysia to serve the local ashram needs. He was appointed as Vice President of Sri Datta Humane Services in the year 2013. Serving Pujya Sri Swamiji was his top priority in his life. To name a few, he served Swamiji’s mission in Germany, Kumbhabishekam Sri Hanuman temple at Trinidad and Tobago, and organized a spiritual trip to Bali for Pujya Sri Swamij along with other devotees.
An approachable personality loved by everyone in the group. Never went back in attending team leaders meeting at some of the remotest corners in India. He had a special place in the heart of Pujya Sri Swamiji.
He breathed his last on 14th March, 2019 and merged into Pujya Sri Swamiji’s lotus feet.
Sagaran first came to know about Pujya Sri Swamiji after his retirement from United Nations Force in the year 1990 at Raja Rajeswari Temple in Ampang. Then Late Sri. Moorthy introduced Sri Sagaran to Swamiji. Initially Sagaran used to be an observer and later he became a devotee of Pujya Swamiji after few personal experiences. The very first question he
asked Pujya Sri Swamiji was “What I need
to do for you Swamiji” and Swamiji
immediately responded to him saying “just
stand beside me”.
Contentment and compassion are signs of your devotion to Sadguru.

SGS POSTS
Professionals and employed volunteers using their known contacts across various industries take the personal responsibility in referring unemployed volunteers. Experienced volunteers with divine blessings of Pujya Swamiji feel that, placing a volunteer in an organization will relieve him from financial crunch and he can devote his time for volunteer services. Periodically they go out of their way in giving some basic trainings in facing interviews and guiding them to choose correct career path.
In our effort to provide job assistance to the eligible volunteers and with the divine blessings of Pujya Sri Swamiji, this year SDHS provided placement assistance to 7 volunteers in securing jobs across various industries.
