Designer at PET Engineering, thanks to his forward-thinking approach, he created the company’s Design Center, which is now the

one-of-a-kind independent Packaging Design Agency called Gentlebrand. The creativity, attention to details and passion for design

led his team win many prestigious awards like: A 'Design Award, World Beverage Innovation award, The Luxury Packaging Award,

He is now committed to help brands exploit packaging at the fullest going beyond the mere functionality and

perceiving it as a communication tool, thus making Gentlebrand an agency specialized in Brand Strategy, Brand

Identity and Packaging Design but always keeping a special eye on Feasibility. Indeed, customers put a lot of efforts

and time into developing a packaging that meets both brand needs and board approval. Unfortunately, the selected

solution is often not feasible from a technical point of view, and this implies several inconveniences like additional

reviews, time and for sure costs. Gentlebrand knows it well and it is by the customer’s side. Thanks to important

collaborations, Gentlebrand has acquired the knowledge to grant the viability of all its solutions across different

materials and formats.

• Over 83% of consumers can recall the advertiser of a promotional item while only 7% of consumers can remember the name

of the advertiser after viewing a TV commercial. Promotional material and items are a proven way to create consumer

demand.

• Every year we produce more plastic than the weight of all humans on the planet (350mt vs 287mt 2017.) More than 1/3rd of all

that plastic (36%) is used for single use packaging. Around 500bn PET bottles are made each year and 25% of this is

beverage packaging.

• Therefore, promotional merchandise for our industry, made using recycled materials from our industry is a win-win. The risk is

‘greenwashing.’ Waste2Wear can verify the system because they recover, process and recycle different plastics to produce

textiles. They control the process. The bulk of their products are made from post-consumer, pre-landfill recycled plastic bottles

(RPET).

• Waste2Wear has all the necessary industry certifications along with transparency provided by blockchain plus their own

proprietary, (patent pending) recycling assurance 3 step certificate (RA-3). These certificates and technologies provides

indisputable evidence that Waste2Wear fabrics are really made from recovered and recycled plastic waste.

• Fabrics made from verified Post-consumer recycled PET (RPET)

• Fabrics and bags made from recycled old home appliances (RPP)

• Promotional items such as t-shirts, bags, caps, towels etc. made

from verified Post-consumer RPET

• Supply chain transparency through blockchain tracing and QR codes.

Paula is a corporate communications consultant with a decade of experience in the food and drinks industry. She worked in

marketing and new business development roles in the UK and continental Europe with chilled foods group Geest (now Bakkavor),

launching product categories and bridging cultural differences during acquisition and due diligence work. Later, she headed up

Geest’s investor relations, crafted Geest’s first Corporate Social Responsibility report and oversaw communications during

Geest’s takeover. Having found her niche in corporate communications and best practice reporting, Paula worked agency-side

across various industries, before becoming an independent consultant. With a heart that never really left the food and drinks

sector, Paula’s experience – from wearing factory hard hats, negotiating with retail buyers and communicating with capital

markets – means she can help her clients in a practical, holistic way. Her current focus is making reporting disclosures more

meaningful and effective for her clients – cutting through the ‘noise’ of ESG metrics such as Sustainability Accounting Standards

Board (SASB), Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and World Economic Forum (WEF) stakeholder

capitalism metrics, as non-financial reporting comes of age. Paula holds a Modern Languages degree from Exeter University and
