The Dryden Regional Health Centre Crisis Response Services has openings in Dryden for Crisis Workers (Casual) Duties include: Answering a crisis phone line Assessing client needs to provide appropriate responses Providing immediate, non-judgmental in-person crisis interventions Monitoring and assessing physical and psychological status during withdrawal and stabilization, and providing assistance as needed Facilitating addiction treatment groups Qualifications: Degree in social work, nursing or psychology (preferred) Diploma in social services or equivalent (minimum) Experience working with individuals with mental illness and problem substance use Suicide intervention training Demonstrated ability to work with individuals in crisis and provide non- judgmental, compassionate support Proven capability to be flexible and to work under pressure Knowledge of services available in the Kenora Rainy River District Ability to work independently Commitment to work evenings, nights and weekends Possess a valid Ontario driver’s license and have unlimited access to a vehicle

Duties include:• Answering a crisis phone line• Assessing client needs to provide appropriate responses• Providing immediate, non-judgmental in-person crisis interventions• Monitoring and assessing physical and psychological status during withdrawal and stabilization, and providing assistance as needed• Facilitating addiction treatment groups
