Downloading Online Video and Audio Files for Exam Resources

Video and Audio Files can be played online just by selecting them

Video are flash files and will not work with Quicktime (Apple) or Windows Media Player

Audio files will work with iTunes (Apple) or Windows Media Player

The highlighted section recommends a free application called VLC for viewing saved files.

Downloading & Saving Video

Mouse Right Button Click

Select “Download Linked File As”

Select location for file to be saved

Downloaded File

Move / Copy to Media Player

(.flv) is a flash file not all applications can play this file type

PC / Windows 7

Select File

Select “Save Target As..”

Select location for file to be saved

Select “Media” in player to open a file to play.
