Trauma is complex and can be overwhelming when working with kids who are explosive, anxious or shut down. The trick is to keep it simple!

Join Kathy Flaminio, creator of Move Mindfully™ yoga-based sequencing for self-regulation, focus and over all well-being and discover how to reverse the impact of trauma through breath work, mindfulness and yoga-based movement. Experience how simple exercises, such as releasing breath, centering activities, and grounding poses empower children to find strength, safety and self-awareness. You will also design trauma-informed mind-body sequences for self-regulation, focus, de-escalation, transitioning, community

connection and overall wellbeing.

Identify emotional triggers and the key strategies for successful implementation: • Respond to body cues and match energy levels such as . . . High energy: anger and oppositional - use movement and breath work that is releasing and big! Low energy: lethargic, hopeless – use inward and calm breath work • Know your population, respond accordingly – schools, inpatient and outpatient facilities, and other

therapeutic settings • Honor the cultural aspects of a diverse population and tailor your therapeutic setting and identify

limitations

Kathy’s dynamic workshop allows you to experience mind-body practices and take the theory/research into direct practice. You will walk away feeling rejuvenated and inspired but have an integrative tool kit to use immediately with youth and families.

Hassle-Free Cancellation Policy: If you contact us before the event date, you can exchange for a DVD or CD/digital manual package on the subject (self-study continuing education credit may be available), a certificate to attend another seminar, or receive a tuition refund less a $30 cancel fee. Substitutions are permitted at any time.
