Introducing The EnviroWrap Group

EnviroWrap Limited introduced its sheeting system in 1997, since that time the EnviroWrap Group

has become the leader in the supply, installation and development of heat sealed sheeting, encapsula-

tion and containment systems, representing a European wide reach. EnviroWrap group has devel-

oped technologically advanced products, a highly experience labour force , a quality client base and a

strong balance sheet.

We strive to maintain an injury free workplace, to protect the environment in which we operate and

meet the highest standards of business and personal ethics, all of which are key factors in maintaining

a highly skilled workforce..

What Benefits Can EnviroWrap™ Bring To The Work -

place ?

The days of having to re-visit the scaffold or structure following a high wind, or having to seal every

joint with tape so as to ensure that no debris or airborne contamination escapes from the contain-

ment has long since past. With EnviroWrap you can have both a cost effective and high quality solu-

tion to any sheeting or encapsulation requirement.

Only your imagination can restrict what EnviroWrap™ can achieve;

Temporary Roofs.

Containment For Blasting & Painting.

Containment For Working Environment.

Containment For Demolition Projects.

Containment For Environmental Protection.

Temporary Shelters.

General Scaffold Sheeting.

Winterisation.

Weather Protection

Asbestos Containment.

Case Study—Before Envirowrap Was

called In

Autumn 2006 Brought high Winds To

The UK

The above picture is typical of how traditional sheeting performed in 2006.

Having re-hung new sheeting to the devastated areas the sheeting still con-

tinued to detach from the scaffold. As a result of the sheeting failures, the

contract program was starting to extend, the finishing trades could not

work in inclement weather conditions, there was also a need to maintain a

good ambient temperature to allow curing of sealants, coatings etc, which

just could not be achieved with the traditional sheeting system.

In November 2006 EnviroWrap were called in to re-sheet the structure.

.

Case Study—After EnviroWrap was

Called In

Program Back On Track

The sheeting involved the façade and temporary roofs to both the

high levels and low levels of the structure.

This project was encapsulate using EnviroWrap™ 350 FR fire proof

sheeting, certified to LPS 1207, LPS 1215 and DIN-4102-B1 fire

proof certifications.

The picture speaks for itself !

EnviroWrap™ Encapsulation

For Hazardous Areas & Live Plant Environments

New EnviroWrap Tensioning Sheeting Application

As part of the Company’s development program a new method of encapsulation and containment sheeting has

been developed by the EnviroWrap Group.

The development of this system evolved as a result of a requirement to provide high quality containment to tanks

and pipe-bridges on an LNG facility in the UK outside of plant shutdowns/stops.

Extensive trials were carried out both in the UK and The Netherlands resulting in the development of both

sheeting, adhesives and purpose made tools which enables the EnviroWrap Limited Trained Operatives to tension

the sheeting onto a structure and sealing the joints with a high grip contact adhesive. The quality is such that

EnviroWrap is prepared to offer a 6 months full guarantee of the installation in winds of up to 80 Km/h. And up to

a 24 month guarantee subject to agreed maintenance contracts.

Cost Effective

Since April 2008 the new installation has been successfully installed at m2 rates which are not too different to those

of the traditional Shrink-Wrap methods of containment, the advantage of this Tensioning Sheeting is that as the

sheeting remains at its original thickness as it is not being heat shrunk which reduces the thickness of the sheeting.

This enables lighter sheeting with even consistency to be installed.

In addition, the sheeting works can be carried out during normal plant operations, thus allowing pre-stop

Containments & Tents to be constructed in advance of the plant shutdown enabling more program time to

complete the shutdown works.

Flexibility

As a result of the elimination of Hot-Works Permits, plant and construction managers can have installed secure and

durable containments throughout the yearly plant operational cycles.

The test criterion was:

1. To provide & install a sheeting system that would be safe within a live off-shore environment.

2. To install the sheeting under conditions of high winds

The test rig above was constructed and sheeted within an Off-Shore Yard in Dyce, Aberdeen. The aim was to simulate typical off-

shore conditions prior to carrying out the works on the live platform Off-Shore. During the installation the winds were gusting to

45km / hour, although the mean average was around 25km/hour.

As a result of this test, approval was granted to encapsulate the first six satellite rigs within the British Off Shore Waters.

Recycling

The way forward For The

Progressive Organisation

The diagram opposite is an example of the process used

to recycle waste products.

EnviroWrap Limited promotes and encourages its clients

to participate in the EnviroWrap Recycling Policy.

At EnviroWrap we do our utmost to create a work ethic

with a high level of awareness of waste minimisation and

recycling and to encourage others to follow our lead.

What happens when a contractor agrees to participate in the

EnviroWrap Waste Product Recycling Policy?

EnviroWrap products can only be produced from virgin polymers, however the recycled sheeting can be used for a multiple of

different commercial and industrial use. This is normally carried out by “Mechanical Recycling”.

Mechanical recycling

Mechanical recycling of plastics refers to processes which involve the melting, shredding or granulation of waste plastics. Plastics must be

sorted prior to mechanical recycling. At the moment in the UK most sorting for mechanical recycling is done by trained staff who manually

sort the plastics into polymer type and/or colour. Technology is being introduced to sort plastics automatically, using various techniques such

as X-ray fluorescence, infrared and near infrared spectroscopy, electrostatics and flotation. Following sorting, the plastic is either melted

down directly and moulded into a new shape, or melted down after being shredded into flakes and than processed into granules called re-

granulate. See the flow chart on page 2

Use of recycled plastic

There is a wide range of products made from recycled plastic. This includes polyethylene bin liners and carrier bags; PVC sewer pipes,

flooring and window frames; building insulation board; video and compact disc cassette cases; fencing and garden furniture; water butts,

garden sheds and composters; seed trays; anoraks and fleeces; fibre filling for sleeping bags and duvets; and a variety of office accessories.

The Recycled Products Guide (RPG) www.recycledproducts.org.uk is a listing of products made from recycled products. Buying recycled

products is a practical way of supporting markets for recycled products and 'closing the loop'. Despite the wide range of recycled plastics

applications, the actual tonnage of waste plastic which is returned to the material cycle is relatively small.

A constraint on the use of recycled plastics is that, to be economically viable, plastic processors require large quantities of recycled plastics,

manufactured to tightly controlled specification at a competitive price in comparison to that of virgin polymer. This is a challenging task,

particularly in view of the diversity of sources of waste plastics, the wide range of polymers used and the high potential for contamination of

plastics waste.

In order to encourage market development for recycled material applications, the UK Government has set up the Waste and Resources

Action Programme (WRAP) whose task is to promote sustainable waste management by creating stable and efficient markets for recycled

materials and products.
