Dear Parents/ Caregivers,
Last Friday, St. Mark’s had a decidedly red look
about it! Thanks to all who supported with the
wearing of red in memory of Daniel Morcombe
and the very important child safety messages.
We also gathered and prayed for All Saints and
All Souls, those very important days over the
week-end. It was great to join with many chil-
dren, and teachers, at 9.30 Mass last Sunday.
The children are a credit to you, their parents.
Catholic Campaign
Thank you for suppor-ng the Catholic campaign
with the ‘Free Dress” day today. All money will
support the various works of the Church as
men-oned in last week’s newsle0er.

Much has been happening in prepara-on for
next year. Tomorrow, 5th November at 9.00
am, we will welcome siblings, familiar parents
with children who will start Prep next year. This
is always a good morning and a wonderful way
to open our community to new members.
Staffing alloca-ons have been set. Next year,
these teachers will teach in these year levels -

jusz and Miss Alicia Briody (Miss Briody is new
to the school and I know you will make her wel-
come when you have the opportunity).

We look forward to the good work and
achievement that your children will make with
their teachers next year.
The teachers have already put much thought
into alloca-ng children to classes for next year.
We give much thought and delibera-on to
where children are placed and in which con-
text to ensure their success. Should your
child have par-cular learning needs, or you
have par-cular concerns, that we may not be
aware of, please put these in wri-ng and
send them to me in the next week or so.
Booklists are included with this newsle0er.
Please put them in a safe place at home and
buy them as needed. All books will need to
be named, covered and ready for classes next
year. Thank you, in an-cipa-on.

RE NEWS
What is Honour?
Being honourable is to live with a sense of respect for what you believe to be right. It is living by the
virtues, living up to the gifts that God placed within
you. You set a good example and don’t feel
ashamed of who you are or what you are doing.
You are practising Honour when you …
• Practise the virtues whenever you get a
chance.
• Speak respectfully to others.
• Do what you believe is right no matter what.
• Ask God to help you do what’s right.

What is the Annual Catholic Campaign?
• The Annual Catholic Campaign gives Catholic
schools, college and parishes the opportunity to act
together as one Church family to support ministries
and services that no individual parish or school can
offer.
• It’s the one time of the year that the Archbishop
asks us to come together to ensure we find more
powerful ways of reaching out to the community. • It’s a collaborative effort that involves Catholics,
young and old, throughout our parishes and
schools.
Markus says when you are Honourable you are being
REVERENT!!
