The children also assisted on the day, at the popcorn, lemonade and show bag stands. The activity assists the children to approach learning through narrative and develop their knowledgeable and confident self-identities. During the auction, the educators were proud to witness the number of children who shared their own auction/donation money with those who had forgotten theirs. These acts of kindness displayed were self-initiated and displayed empathy and care for each other. With the generous support of our families, Northpine OSHClub were able to raise $371.45. The excitement shown for this event and the feedback from children and their families proved this fundraiser was an enormous success. The children are now looking forward to the stories being released in mid-November. Booking are now open for Summer vacation care

First Nations Bedtime Stories Challenge Book Week

Northpine OSHClub hosted our annual fundraiser for the First

Nations Bedtime Stories Challenge with a Toy and Book Auction on Thursday 29th October.

A fundraising committee was established where children participated in discussions to

contribute and share ideas on how the fundraiser would work best. Children first created

flyers for their families asking for toy and book donations with parents responding

generously with an abundance of items.

The children also assisted on the day, at the popcorn, lemonade and show bag stands.

The activity assists the children to approach learning through narrative and develop their

knowledgeable and confident self-identities.

Our Sustainable October This month our sustainability topic has been what our part is in helping the species of the world.

Elijah and Lily.W created a power point to present at group time on Bees. The presentation had facts about all different bees and what their purpose is and ways we can help the bees.

Its OK not to feel OK; and it’s absolutely OK to ask for help.

We have put our Be You training into action to help with our growth mindset. Discussions have been held at group time with the children about feelings and emotions. During prayer time the children have also been expressing how they are feeling.

and promoting a sense of security.

Focus on supporting children, discussions have been held at group time to ensure children are aware of the circle of security and having a safe environment. Mindfulness Activities-Thinking, Doing ,Feeling, Being , Saying and Noticing activities have been programmed.
