Japan Society of Developmental Psychology (JSDP) NII-Electronic Library Service Japan Sooiety of Developmental Psyohology （ JSDP ｝ 発 達 心 理 学 研究 2005 ，第 16 巻， 第 2 号， 156 − 164 原 著 乳幼児 表情 写 真 （ IFEELPictures ） を 用 い た 母 親 の 情緒応答性 の 測 定 子 ども の 性差 ・ 人数 ・ 年齢 が 与 える 影 響 長 屋 佐和 子 （中京 大 学大 学院心 理 学研究科） 0 〜 24 ヶ 月児 の 母 親（ 120名 ）を対 象 と し て ，自身 の 子 ども の 性別 ・ 数 ・ 年齢 が乳 幼 児表 情 写真 （ IFEEL Pi 〔 加 res ）に対 す る情緒読み取 り傾 向 に与 え る影 響 に つ い て 検 討 した。そ の 結 果 ，（ 1 ）情 緒 読 み 取 りには 子 ども の 性差 の 影 響 が認められ ， 息 子 をも つ 母 親 に 比 べ て 娘 をも つ 母 親 の ほ う が 受動的 な 情緒 （ 「 恥 」 ・ 「 注 意」 ） の 読 み 取 りが 多 い ，（ 2 ＞子 ど も が 1 人 の 場合 は 息子 をも つ 母 親 のほ う が 「 不 満」 に 注意 を払 う傾 向 があ り ，子 ど も が 複数 の 場合 は 娘をも つ 母 親 の ほう が 受動的 情緒 （ 「 恥 」 ・ 「 注 意」 ） の 読 み 取 りが 多 い ， （ 3 ）子ども の 数にかかわら ず，息子 を も つ 母親 は 子 ど も の 年齢 が 高 くな る ほ ど 「 自己主張」 および 肯定的 情緒 を 多 く読 み取 る 傾向 が ある が ，娘 の 場合 に は そ の ような関係 が 見 られ な い ，（ 4 ） 子 どもが複数 の 場 合，息子 との 関係 で は ，子 ど も の 年齢 が 高 くな る と 「 対象希求 」 が 増加 ， 「 我慢」 が 減少する傾向 が ある ， など の 所見 が 得 られ た t／ 従来 の 観察研究 に よれ ば，母 親 は 息 子 と の 間 に 肯定的な 関 係性を維 持す る 傾向 が あ る の に対 し，娘 と の 間では多様な情緒による相互作用が行われる ， とされ て きた 。 本研 究 の 所 見か ら ，母子 の 行動上 の 特徴だけ で なく，母親側 の 認知側面 に お い て も同 様 の 傾向が確 認 された 。この よ う に 母親 の 認 知 面 に 注 目す る こ と に よ っ て ，今後さら に 母子 相 互 作用 の 様相 が 明ら か に なる と同 時 に ，そ の 所見 の 臨床場面 へ の 応用 が 可能 に な る と思 わ れ る。 【 キ ー ・ ワ ー ド 】 情緒 応 答性， IFEELPictures ，母 子 関係 ，性差，同胞葛蕀 問 題 情緒 応 答性 の 概念 母親 乳児間 の 情 緒 的 な相 互 関係 は ，乳児 に 対す る母 親 の 支持的態度と，それ に よ っ て 発達す る子 ども の 自律 性と して記 述 され て きた （ Biringen ＆ Robinson ， 1991 ） 。 Mahler ， Pine ， ＆ Bergman （ 1975 ） は ，身体機能 の 発 達 に 伴 っ て ，乳児 が 母 親 の も と を離 れ て 探索を行 うよ う に な る とき，母親 の 支持的態度 は予 ども に 対す る励ま し と受 容 の 信号 で あ り，子 ども の 自律性 の 発 達を促 進する機能 があ る と述 べ てい る 。ま た Ainsworth ， Blehar ， Waters ， ＆ Wall （ 1978 ）は ， 母 親 側 の 要因 とし て 感受性 を重 視 し ， それ を 「 乳 児 が発 す る 信号 を正 確 に 感受 し 的確 に 反 応す る能力 」 と してい る。Emde （ 1980 ）は ，母 親 による子ど も の 受容 を 包括 して 「 情緒応答性 」 と 呼 んだ 。 こ れ は ， E に 述 べ た ，子 ども の 探索行動 に 対す る 支持的態度と， 子 ど も の 多様 な情 緒 に 対す る敏感 さを表 し て い る。 初期 に は，情緒応答性 は母 親 の 表出行動 に 焦点をあて て 論 じ られ る傾 向 が あ っ た が ，次第にそれが母子 二 者関 係 に おける情緒的 コ ミ ュ ニ ケ ー シ ョ ンの 重要な側面を示 すも の で あるとする見方が支配的 に な っ た 。 Biringen ＆ Robinson （ 1991 ） は 母子双方 の 情緒応答性 に 注 目 し ，母親側 の 感受性 と非侵 入 性，子ども側 の 母 親 へ の 反 応性 と母 親 に 対す る関与 の 促 しを構 成 要 素 に挙 げ て い るb 母 親 の 感受性 とは ，子 ど も から 発 せ ら れる 手 が かりに 対す る的確な解釈 と適応的な反 応 を指 し，非侵入 性と は ，相 互 作用 にお い て母 親 が 示 す主導性 の 程度を示 すも の で あ る。また ，子 ども側 の 反 応性 とは ， 母 親 の 働 きかけに 対す る 子 ど も の 反応 を示 し ，母親 の 感受性 に 対 応 す る も ので あ る h 子 ど も による 関与 の 促 しとは ，母 親 を相 互 作用に引き込むため の 子 ども の 努 力 と能 力 を 示 す 、， こ れ ら の 定義 からも明らか な よ うに ， 情 緒応 答 性は 母子間 の 連続 した相互作用 に注 目す るも の に変化 し て き た と言 え る。 Emde （ 2003 ） は ， この よ うな 情 緒 応 答 性 に よ っ て 母 子双 方 が 多様 な情緒 を表出するよう に なり，そ の こ と が 正 常 な 行動 発 達 を示 すも ので あるとして い る 。 さら に 彼 は ，情緒応答性 が 対人関係 の 文脈や情緒読 み 取 り の 個 人 差 の 影 響 を受 ける こ とを 指摘 して い る 。 特 に 母親 の 情緒 応答性 に 偏 りが あ る 場合 ，例えば母親が 子 どもの 苦痛 な 経 験を 否認す る と ，子 ど も は そう し た 情 緒 的経 験 を回避 するように なり ， ひいて は人 格 の 障害 を 引き起 こ す 可 能 性があ る と してい る 。 この よ う に 相 互 作用 の 重 要 な側面 とし て ，情緒 の 読 み 取 りと い う認知機 能 の 重要性が 指 摘 されている 。それ に もか か わ らず ，母子相互作用研究 の 多 くは ，情緒 の 表出 N 工工 一 Eleotronio Library

This study examined the emotional responsiveness of 120 mothers of O −24 month −old infants Mothers responded to each
of 30 photographs of infant ’
s facial expressions IFEEL Pictures and their data were analyzed in relation to the gender numbers and ages of their children The partlcipants showed emotional responsiveness regard ess of the gender and num −
bers of their children In the case of single chndren mothers of sons tended to feeiustration in the relationship with the child while mothers of more than one child observed daughters
’ emotions as passive
and “ pleasant feelings”correlated positively with the son
’ s age but in mother −
daughter relations there were no such correlations Many previous studies of mother −child interactions have shown that
mothers interact positively with sons and interact with daughters in more varied ways The findings of the present study consistent with previous data demonstrate that analysis of mothers
’ cognitive processes is necessary fbr a thorough under
standing ofmother −child interactions as well as in clinical applications

This study examined the emotional responsiveness of 120 mothers of O −24 month −old infants Mothers responded to each
of 30 photographs of infant ’
s facial expressions IFEEL Pictures and their data were analyzed in relation to the gender numbers and ages of their children The partlcipants showed emotional responsiveness regard ess of the gender and num −
bers of their children In the case of single chndren mothers of sons tended to feeiustration in the relationship with the child while mothers of more than one child observed daughters
’ emotions as passive
and “ pleasant feelings”correlated positively with the son
’ s age but in mother −
daughter relations there were no such correlations Many previous studies of mother −child interactions have shown that
mothers interact positively with sons and interact with daughters in more varied ways The findings of the present study consistent with previous data demonstrate that analysis of mothers
’ cognitive processes is necessary fbr a thorough under
standing ofmother −child interactions as well as in clinical applications
