Dr. Andrew Chan is the Deputy Chairman of Arup Group Ltd. He was Chairman of Arup’s East Asia Region and of Arup Hong Kong. He is the current President of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, a Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Engineering Science, a member of the Construction Industry Council, an adjunct professor at the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology and a core member of the Hong Kong Climate Change Forum. He is the Chairman of Hong Kong Green Building Council. Ir Dr Chan has published and lectured on a variety of subjects including sustainable buildings and sustainability in urban development. Ir. Prof. Daniel Chan, Vice Chair, HKGBC Green Labelling Committee Ir. Professor Daniel Chan has over 30 years of experience in design, construction and project management for government and private enterprises, which 10 years of experience in Australia and over 20 years of experience in Hong Kong specialising in heating air conditioning and mechanical ventilation, electrical services, fire services, plumbing and drainage services, noise and vibration, air pollution and waste water treatment consultancy in the Asia Pacific region. Daniel also teaches in the Department of Architecture, Chinese University of Hong Kong as Honorary Professor on Advance Building Services (including Electrical & Mechani- cal Services) System, Environmental and Energy Conservation. He is a frequent speaker and author of many of the said topics. Prof. John Ng, Chairman of the Site Aspects Expert Panel for the BEAM Plus Review Mr. John NG is a professional Architect and Town Planner. Before retirement, he was Chief Architect with the Hong Kong Housing Authority and has more than 30 years experience in the planning, design, construction and project management of high-density housing and redevelopment projects. Awards of excellence were won by a number of these projects covering Architecture, Planning, Urban Design, Research and Green Building Design. John has presented extensively in international and local conferences on sustainable communities, microcli- mate, high-density housing and community development. He is an honorary associate professor of the University of Hong Kong and an active volunteer in the post-quake Sichuan reconstruction. Dr. Raymond Yau, Chairman of the Energy Aspects Expert Panel for the BEAM Plus Review Dr. Raymond Yau is Arup Fellow, Director of Arup Hong Kong. He is a building services engineer and building physicist who specializes in integrated design of sustainable and environmental responsive buildings. Raymond was Arup’s project director responsible for leading several pivotal sustainable consulting studies for the HKSAR Government, which have had a strong influence on the development of sustainability in Hong Kong and put Arup in the lead on formulating the roadmap for the local sustainability agenda. Many of his projects have won Green Building Awards or Sustainability Recognition such as MTR Disney Resort Line Sunny Bay Station, Hong Kong Public Housing on Microclimate Research and LCA/LCC Sustainable Tools for Buildings in Hong Kong.
