1986: They limited the size and length of logging contracts. Forests HAD to be replenished.

1994: Amount of wood they can harvest is limited.

Seedlings and sprouts have a better chance of survival.

Clear cutting does not protect soil therefore new tress will have difficulty growing.

Maintains and improves the life of forests ecosystems so current and future generations can use them.
