ВИ, ЩО У ХРИСТА ХРЕСТИЛИСЯ, У ХРИСТА ЗОДЯГНУЛИСЯ! The practice of inviting a priest to bless one’s home is not as prevalent as it used to be. Maybe its another sign of the times. Regardless, it is still so important to bless your home! By blessing every room, nook and cranny of the place where you live is significant for a number of reasons. Its says “This home belongs to God. God is with us at all times!” It is a real spiritual cleansing and renewal of your home. So much can happen over a year and a home blessing is like a fresh start. It is also a request from our Lord to watch over your home and protect the place and especially everyone who lives there or visits. When you are blessing your home, make peace with your family and friends. Forgive for once and for all. Pray together, sing some carols and or the Tropar (see below) and even make an event of it with a meal or snack. Remember, at the Jordan, God was revealed Father (Voice), Son (Jesus) and Holy Spirit (Dove) and Jesus began his ‘public ministry’ and the world was never the same! Let your home blessing be a manifestation of God to you and your family and guests. Let life in your home never be the same! A new beginning of brightness and determination and true love and faith. Take some Holy Water home today and plan a blessing!
