Family- Will provide love, support, comfort and care.

Police- The police force will be funded by the government and the municipality in which it is located. It will provide protection and jobs. The police will also protect citizens rights by arresting people who disobey the laws and keeping the Etzdian people safe, but they will limit their freedoms by enforcing the laws.

Health Care (hospitals, optometrists, dentists)- Public health care businesses will be funded by the government but private businesses will not. Health care businesses will provide jobs and medical care. Public businesses will protect the rights of the Etzdian people by making sure that everyone gets the medical care they need.

Education (elementary and high schools, universities, colleges)- Public schools will be funded by the government but private schools such as the University of Etzdia will not be. It will provide education and life skills, it will also provides jobs. Schools will protect the freedom of the Etzdian people by educating them about their rights, freedoms, making sure they can get a good job, and function in society.

o Recreation Centers (sports teams, gyms, ski hill)- Recreation centers will provide enjoyment, recreation, health and life skills. They will help the citizens in Etzdia by encouraging them to be fit and live healthy lives.

o Banks- Banks will provide jobs and a place to keep your money, they will also fulfill economic and financial needs. Banks will protect the citizens by allowing the people of Etzdia a safe place to save their money. They will also limit their rights by not allowing them to go in dept. They will also provide loans, mortgages and other financial help and advice.

o Churches- Churches will fulfill spiritual needs. Churches willl protect the citizens right to practice any religion. They will also provide them with a place to worship.

Social Organizations Con.

o Retail stores (mall, gas station, clothing stores)- Retail stores will be privately owned. They will provide food, hygiene, clothes, they will also provide lots of jobs. They will also supply many of the wants of the Etzdian people. Retail stores will protect the freedoms of the people by allowing them to buy food and other necessities that they need.

o Media (TV, computers, news stations, radio)- The media will provide knowledge to the people, it will also let them learn about other places in the world. The media will protect the rights of the people

In Etzdia there are certain rules the citizens must follow such as: No murdering, assaulting or causing bodily harm Abortions are not permitted No stealing No breaking and entering No trespassing No racism against other citizens Smoking is not permitted No drugs of any kind Drinking age is 21 Speed Limits You have to wear a seatbelt Driving licenses:

› Learners- age 14› License- age 16

If you do not follow these rules you will be punished. Depending on the crime you could be put on trial and if found guilty you will go to prison. The highest sentence in Etzdia is going to jail for life. You can be eligible for parole after the set amount of time the courts sentenced you.

The Citizens of my country will also have many rights and freedoms such as:• The right to remain silent• Freedom of speech• The right to vote• The right to live anywhere in the country and be able to travel in and out of the country • Freedom of the press• The right to equality• Freedom of peace• The right to practice any religion• The right to non-violent protest • Freedom of language

Etzdia is a democratic country. The Etzdian citizens have the right to vote for their president. The president of Etzdia can serve for 3 years before they have to call another election. The same person can be president for a total of 4 terms before a new person takes his/her place.

To make sure that the government in power is trying to do the greatest good for the greatest number there are different parties that can question the president. In the House of Etzdia the presidential party and the opposition can debate about the law or bill the president is trying to pass. If the bill/law is rejected then it will not be passed. A bill/law can be rejected when the majority votes against it. A majority is 51% or higher.

If the minority parties feel that the president is abusing his/her power they can call a re-election and if voted in, can become president even if the President’s term is not done.

If a conflict does arise in Etzdia the first step of the government will be to try and negotiate. The presidential party and the opposition parties will talk about the conflict and try to come up with an answer. If they can not agree, a mediator will be brought in to try and help them figure things out. The mediator will be someone involved in government but is unbiased about the conflict at hand. In extreme situations an imposed change can occur, for example if Etzdia is participating in a war then the government will have the right to impose a curfew on the people. These changes will only last until the government feels that Etzdia and its people are no longer in danger.
