Dear Friends!

Belarus is frequently being called “blue-eyed”

and that is for a reason. There are 20800 rivers

running wholly or partially through the territory of

the country. Their total length is 90,6 thousand

kilometres. The largest of them are the Dnieper,

the Western Dvina, the Neman, the Pripyat, the Berezina.

There are also more than 10 thousand natural lakes with total surface of

2 thousand square kilometres. Lake Naroch with the surface of 79,6 square

kilometres is the biggest of them. Lake Dolgoe with the maximal depth of

53,7 metres is the deepest one. Moreover 150 large and about 1,5 thousand small

water reservoirs are in Belarus. Built on the Viliya River, Vileyka Water Reservoir

is the biggest one (its surface is 63,8 square kilometres).

About 60 different fish species inhabit water objects of Belarus. Widespread

bream, roach, pike, perch, crucian and sparingly met burbot and eel are among

them.

About Fishing Sport Federation of the Republic of Belarus

National Public Association “Belarusian Society of

Hunters and Fishermen” (hereinafter referred to as

RGOO “BOOR”) is the Fishing Sport Federation of the

Republic of Belarus. It unites about 100 thousand

people. The following fishing sport disciplines are

developed and maintained in Belarus: ice fishing,

predator boat fishing-lures, coarse angling, feeder.

Feeder fishing is the youngest and the most popular

discipline.

RGOO “BOOR” has got experience in organizing of high level international

competitions. The 2014 World Ice Fishing Championship and the 2015 European

Coarse Angling Championship were held in Belarus.

About the Championship

The 2nd

Feeder Fishing World Championship for clubs will be held in Belarus in

the period from May 28 to June 3 of 2018.

The Organizing Committee of the Championship will include representatives of

the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the State Border

Committee of the Republic of Belarus, specialists in inbound tourism and other

authorized persons who may help with issues of border and customs control.

Venue of the Championship

Venue of the Championship is the

Rowing Canal of the Republican

Center of Olympic Training for

Rowing located in Zaslavl (Minsk

Region, Belarus).

The Rowing Canal is a sports

facility specially equipped for national

and international competitions in

rowing and canoeing. It is located near

Zaslavl (23 km from Minsk) in the

northwestern part of the water area of

Zaslavl Water Reservoir near the confluence of the Main Canal of the Vileyka-

Minsk Water System. Geographic coordinates of the Rowing Canal: 53.995031,

According to long-term observations, the average air temperature on the

Rowing Canal in May-June is 16-20 °C.

Brief Description of the Rowing Canal:

- The total area is

86 hectares;

- the length of the main

water area is 2500 metres;

- width – 160 metres;

- the average depth is

3,5 metres;

- maximum depth is

6,5 metres;

- no current;

- the sandy-muddy

bottom.

On both sides the Canal

is contoured by dams paved with concrete elements. Marking of zones is possible

both on one bank and on the opposite banks – two zones on one side and three

zones on the other.

Maximum catch at the 2015 European Coarse Angling Championship was

21 kg for 4 hours of competition.

Fish Species and Norms of Their Catch

Dominant fish species: roach, bream, perch, ruff, bleak.

Related fish species: pike-perch, pike.

Rarely encountered fish species: golden carp, carp, tench, grass carp, silver

bream, gudgeon, goby, redeye, catfish.

Size of fish allowed to catch in sport fishing is (measured from snout tip to the

end of the tail): pike-perch – 40 cm, pike – 40 cm, tench – 22 cm, grass carp –

40 cm, carp – 20 cm, catfish – 70 cm.

A competitor who has caught fish that does not reach the specified size must

immediately release it back into the water reservoir in live condition.

Trainings

Trainings on the Rowing Canal are forbidden in the period from the 14th

Composition of Delegation

One delegation representing the country participates in the Championship.

Official composition of the national delegation is 9 people: 6 anglers (5 anglers of

the first team and 1 reserve angler), 1 representative of the delegation, 2 coaches.

Participation Fee

FIPSed fee is 150 EUR for 1 team.

Registration fee is 1300 EUR for 1 team.

Registration fee includes participation in official buffet and banquet for 9

persons, fishing licences, insurance certificates and souvenirs.

The cost of additional ticket for official buffet or banquet (for teams with

more than 9 persons) is 50,00 EUR per person, participation both in the official

buffet and banquet – 100,00 EUR per person.

After getting the application form from the participating country the organizer

of the Championship will make the invoice. This invoice will serve as the basis for

payment.

Visa support

Information about obtaining visas can be found on the website of the Ministry

According to the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On Legal Status of Foreign

Citizens and Stateless Persons in the Republic of Belarus” of 4 January 2010 a

foreign citizen may enter the Republic of Belarus, leave the Republic of Belarus

and transit through the territory of the Republic of Belarus with a foreign travel

document only with Belarusian visa.

It is necessary to apply to the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus to get visa.

Since the purpose of the trip is to participate in a sporting event the invitation is

necessary. A personal invitation for visa for each participant, jury member,

delegation representative will be provided by RGOO “BOOR” on the basis of the

completed forms. It will be enough for visa support to present to the embassy a

scanned or fax copy of the invitation. Visa processing time is 5 working days or

48 hours in urgent cases.

Border crossing

The State Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus is ready to provide a

priority entry for participants of the Championship.

For this purpose participating states should send to the e-mail address of the

organizer the following information: the date of entry into the territory of the

Republic of Belarus, the name of the border crossing point, type of the vehicle and

its registration plate No., and the list of participants who are travelling in this car.

The petition for border crossing point will be prepared on the basis of these

data, one copy will be sent to the specified border point, the other copy will be sent

to the participating state. It is necessary to present this petition to the authorized

officer at the border crossing point.

Temporary Import of Fishing Equipment

The State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus informs that there are

no obstacles for the transportation of luggage and sports equipment required for

participation in the Championship.

The customs legislation of the Republic of Belarus allows to transport sports

equipment and accessories for sports and tourism in quantities necessary for use

during a temporary stay on the customs territory of the Republic of Belarus. The

allowance is 50 kg per person without declaration. When completing the

declaration, there are no restrictions on the maximum weight of baggage. The fee

for carrying luggage and sports equipment in excess of the established rate of

50 kg is not charged.

The declaration form in various languages can be downloaded from the website

of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus

(www.customs.gov.by/ru/passajirskaja_tamozhennaja_declaracija-ru/).

The declaration with the weight of luggage over 50 kg is filled in two copies:

one is given to the customs officer at the entrance to Belarus, the second copy is

kept for the duration of the stay and is given to the customs officer when leaving

Belarus. Filling the declaration does not require detailed information, and it is

enough to indicate the most common positions and weight (for example – fishing

equipment – 200 kg).

Customs officers will assist national teams in completing the declaration.

Insurance

According to the legislation of the Republic of Belarus foreign citizens

temporarily staying in the Republic of Belarus are required to have a compulsory

health insurance policy.

The compulsory health insurance policy can be issued to a foreign citizen at the

border checkpoints of the Republic of Belarus (at international airports, at border

points) upon arrival to the Republic of Belarus.

The cost of the insurance policy for 10 days of stay is approximately 10 EUR.

When crossing the border by road, it is also necessary to have a car insurance

policy. It can be also issued at the border checkpoints of the Republic of Belarus

(border crossing points) upon arrival to the Republic of Belarus. Depending on the

type of vehicle, the cost of the car insurance policy is approximately 20-30 EUR.

Toll roads

BelToll is an electronic toll collection system, put into effect from the 1st of July

2013 in the Republic of Belarus (http://beltoll.by/index.php/en/).

As of 1 November 2017, Belarus operates 1,613 kilometers of national toll

roads.

Drivers of vehicles, using toll roads in the Republic of Belarus, are obliged to

pay toll for the exception of exempt vehicles from the Customs Union. Rates for

toll roads are depending on the vehicle’s maximum laden weight and number of

axles.

In order to pay for toll roads, drivers need to register in BelToll system, sign a

contract and receive an on-bord unit. This can be done at the customer service

points that are mainly located at petrol stations, rest areas and near border crossing

points (all information including addresses and work schedule of customer service

points can be found at the website http://beltoll.by/index.php/en/).
