• When you look up a verb in the dictionary, it is given in the infinitive– This is the name of the verb– In English, we use the word ‘to’...
•e.g. to play; to drink; to read• In French, there are 3 categories of
infinitives-er, -ir and -re
In French, there is a certain structure in which you write verbs. This is so you can say who is doing the action.
• jeje I• tutu you (singular or informal)• il/ elle/ onil/ elle/ on he/ she/ we
• nousnous we• vous vous you (plural or formal)• ils/ ellesils/ elles they (boys/ girls)

• -e j’habite• -es tu habites• -e il / elle habite• -ons nous habitons• -ez vous habitez• -ent ils habitent
With –er verbs, take away the ‘er’ from the end, and then add the following endings:-
