COMMUNICATION SKILL ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM
Centre for Training and Placement of St Joseph’s is largely responsible and
committed towards the identification and catering to the need of training of students
so that they are able to develop a good personality and assist them to find right job
and help them place in right companies before they pass out. We realize that in order
to convert a raw student in to employable graduate, several behavioural attributes
need to be addressed in addition to the development of technical skills. Some of the
behavioural attributes are good communication skills, developing positive attitude
towards work, and understanding of moral and ethical values.
Every academic year, our college has taken an initiative to improve the
communication skill of the students by organizing 48 hrs Communication skill
enhancement program. The aim of this program is to empower our students to take
up the future campus recruitment with confidence. All the first year students are
evaluated for communication skill by the expert committee. Based on the evaluation
students are categorized into three levels and students are given appropriate
training. This communication enhancement program is conducted by corporate
trainers from Strides, Winspire, Vistamind etc.

NGO ACTIVITIES
The current day society is plagued by poverty to an extent that it has numbed the lives of the
orphaned and aged poor. Bereft of support systems, they are left in abject misery. It is to their aid that
the St. Joseph's college have meticulously planned and executed Non–governmental organizational
activities, for the past one year. These NGO activities, a brain child of our beloved Chairman &
Managing Director are organized by young and emerging engineers of our college to make a
difference in the lives of the marginalized and impoverished. The main aim of these activities is to
promote the interest of the poor, Protect the environment Provide the basic social services, to relieve
suffering & undertake community development
These activities are funded from the management to work for social change so that we create a
society in which our institutions and organizations are equitable and just and all people are safe,
adequately fed, adequately housed, well educated, able to work at safe, decent jobs, and able to
participate in the decisions that affect their lives.NGO activities were introduced in the college on the
premise that students would evince academic gains from their volunteering efforts. The various places

STUDENT ACTIVITIES St. Joseph’s college acts as a platform for the students to bring out their hidden talents and
cultivates experiential learning options outside the classroom. Also, it encourages students to actively
participate in the greater educational society through student activities. Student activities help to create
and foster leadership and involvement opportunities enhance personal escalation and development. We
are proud to say that our students outclass in Curricular, Co-Curricular and Extra Curricular Activities.
CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Curricular activities have a number of values like educational value, development of social spirit,
character training education for leadership, worthy use of leisure time or recreational value, team spirit,
development of civic virtue, physical development, improved discipline, aesthetic development and
development of cultural values. “Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never--in nothing,
great or small, large or petty--never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense” said Winston
Churchill. Similarly our students have succeeded in reaching greater heights in publishing papers in
various international journals and conferences.
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
As the saying goes “Stand up to your obstacles and do something about them. You will find that
they haven't half the strength you think they have”, our students have stood up, competed and won various
prizes in symposiums conducted by other colleges.
