1. INNERVE CLUB AND WEB SITE was inaugurated, and INNERVE 2016 inter college technical fest organized by the department. 18 colleges and 211 students participated in the fest. on 21stApril 2016

3. Inauguration of students monitoring programme SMP of ACCE, India and celebration of fresher’s day, teachers day and Engineers day was done on 19 th September 2016 in Civil seminar hall. The chief guest for the function was Umesh B Rao, secretary general ACCE and guest of honor Dr M N Hegde, chairman, ACCE, Bangalore and Sri L R Manjunath, secretary, ACCE,Bangalore.

STAFF AND STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS

1. Dr G Narayana, Prof & Head, was a board of examiner for VTU LAB Examination, Odd & Even semester 2015-16.

2. Dr. G Narayana, Prof & Head, was a advisory committee member for 2 days faculty development program on “Stability of structures” at Brindavan College of Engineering, Bangalore in association with VTU Belgaum on 18th& 19th Feb 2016.

3. Students of 8th semester, Akshay A, Lavanya V and Amrutha M N presented project model “Solar Powered Water desalinisation” under the guidance of Miss Vathsala M N a won first prize in the event and also awarded with second place to the SJCIT, in Jnana Vignana Tantragynana Mela 2017 at Sri Kshetra Adichunchanagari Matt, 20th & 21st February 2017.

4. Our Civil Engineering Students of 4th semester, Chethan & Prashanth N and 8th sem Ajay kumar G N ,Akshay A & Sachin H K participated & won the 2nd prize in model making & presentation in the concrete panorama & deminar-2017(International seminar, live product demonstration & exhibition) on MYRAID Manifestations of concrete held at NIMHANS conventional centre Bangalore,1st & 2nd March 2017.

Swachh campus program gallery n0vember 2016The Swachh Campus 2016 was organized by the Department of Civil Engineering in association with

Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) student chapter, Association of Civil Consulting Engineers, India

(ACCE), on November 12th 2016. The college is a life time member for ICI – student chapter bearing

LM no.10288 w.e.f. Feb 2014. The event was organized by all Civil Engineering faculties along with

student coordinators and student volunteers. Chief guests for this programme are K. Amarnarayana,
