*Allows the user to arrange data without actually moving or changing the data at all
*DataSpace does this creating a pointer to the data; this pointer is what is actually being moved within the DataSpace application

*Using DataSpace
*Create new Root Folder
*Click File->New Root Folder
*Enter name for Folder, Click “OK”
*Adding data elements to DataSpace
*Open ArcGIS Desktop, as normal
*Click DataSpace icon in the toolbar to open DataSpace window
*Click the add data button*Navigate to desired data
*Click the “Add” button
*Drag layer from Table of Contents, drop in DataSpace window
