• evaluate how a new Key Stage 3 curriculum allows for gathering evidence for APP assessments;

• share strategic departmental approaches to the implementation of APP.

Outcomes Participants will have:• applied their understanding of HSW to the

development of APP in their department;• identified areas from a new Key Stage 3

scheme of learning which will need to be revised to support APP implementation;

• considered their departmental approach to the implementation of APP.

TaskFor the allocated assessment focus (AF) thread consider:

• what opportunities for assessment exist in your revised Key Stage 3 scheme for Year 7;

• the implications for revision to Years 8 and 9 and accessibility at all levels;

• particular AFs, or criteria, which could be more challenging and any training issues.
