Concept

The city of São Paulo, where I was born and live, instigates me. Be-ing on the streets, witnessing the behavior of people and creativity of the Brazilian people of finding solutions for their needs helps me to reflect.

The Brazil, of exuberant nature and fauna, its a country with a rich cul-ture and of unique personality.

Here the various miscegenations enriched our history and our culture.This mix created a plural society, of which I’m part, that influences my

gaze, directly and subjectively.On the other hand I search in the transgression of the use of the mate-

rials that already exist, collective and personal memories.In the industrial scene of Brazil, we find a great number of companies

that work artisanally, and many times without access to the more ad-vanced technologies.

The entrepreneurs gradually begin betting on design as a competitive tool. In this moment I see my power of action in small industries, manu-facturing and limited editions.

Graduated in Architecture at the university Mackenzie, I signed up in 1999 to the workshop “The construction of the object” lectured by Fer-nando and Humberto Campana. This experience was the genesis of my current creative process.

During the workshop I reflected on many questions beyond aesthetics, getting closer to the world of design, sustainability and finally finding my expression path.

The experimentation, the presence of craft labor and the constant search of new materials, became essential characteristics of my work.
