The Athens Medical Group was founded in 1984

The Group owns and operates 8 ultramodern hos-

pital facilities in Greece with a total hospital bed

capacity of 1,200, a network of 2,800 reputable

doctors and 3,000 full time employees.

7 of the Group’s hospitals are located in the wider

Athens area: The Athens Medical Center, GAIA Ma-

ternity, the Pediatric Center, the Clinic of Psychiko,

the Clinic of Paleo Faliro, the Clinic of Daphni, the

Clinic of Peristeri.

The eighth hospital, the Interbalkan Medical Center

is located in Northern Greece and is considered,

according to a report by the Imperial College School

of Medicine in Great Britain, “as the most modern

hospital facility in Europe”.

In the Balkans, the Group also owns, through its

subsidiary Medsana, three diagnostic centers in

Romania.

The Pediatric Centers of the Athens Medical Group operating in Athens and Thessaloniki are the most complete private pediatric clinics in Greece offering high quality diagnosis, treat-ment and care services to newborns, infants and children.

The Pediatric Centers have fully equipped op-erating rooms and ultramodern Infant Intensive Care Units.

Strategic, InternationalPartnerships

One of the most significant partnerships of the Athens Medical Group is the one with Asklepios Kliniken GmbH.

Asklepios Kliniken GmbH was founded in 1984 and is currently the largest European private hospital operator. It owns a total of 100 hospital facilities with a capacity of 20,000 beds. It employs 6,000 people and has an annual turnover of over 2 billion Euro.

The Group’s value-added features include its expertise in cost and quality optimiza-tion, the ability to provide high-standard Health Care services, and the know-how to operate facilities of general and maternity hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and psy-chiatric units.

The Athens Medical Group has signed a Partnership Contract with the Massachu-setts General Hospital (M.G.H) of the Medi-cal School of Harvard University.

It also cooperates with the Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF) of London, the leading institution in research, education and train-ing in fetal medicine.
