“Een” is an old word for eve
Eve means the night before
Halloween is the night before All Saints’ Day
At Halloween we have jack-o’-lanterns.
A Jack-o’-lantern is:
- a banana with a light in it
- a house with a light in it
- a pumpkin with a light in it
At Halloween boys and girls visit houses and say
Happy Christmas
Good luck
Trick or treat

Two is a light heart
Three is a carriage

Six is a new hat
