Having examined the drawings, specifications, designs and schedule of quantities relating to the works specified in the memorandum hereinafter set out and having examined the site of the works specified in the said memorandum and having acquired the requisite information relating thereto as affecting the tender, I/We hereby offer to execute the works specified in the said memorandum, within the time specified in the said memorandum, at the rates mentioned in the attached schedule of quantities and in accordance in all respects with the specifications, designs, drawings and instructions in writing referred to in Conditions of Tender, the Articles of Agreement, Special Conditions, Schedule of Quantities and Conditions of Contract and with such materials as are provided for, by and in all other respects in accordance with such conditions so far as they may be applicable. PREQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Eligibility/Pre qualification criteria for selection of contractors are as under:-

i) The firm must have minimum 5 years of experience in executing turnkey / electrical / civil projects of commercial/ institutional buildings.

ii) The firm must have own established office with Technical set up at Jaipur. Give full details about your set

up in Jaipur Branch office at Jaipur.

iii) Average financial turnover per year for the last 3 years till 31st March 2010, shall be at least Rs. 10 Lacs (interior and allied) per year.

iv) The firm must have experience of having successfully completed similar works (i.e. Interior work

including Furnishing (loose & fixed furniture), Electrical & Data Cabling,& Air Conditioning work) during the last 3 years of minimum 5 Lacs value of single work orders.

v) The firm must have experience of executing the project of similar nature on Interior Work including

Furnishing (loose & fixed furniture). Electrical & Data Cabling & Air Conditioning work.

vi) The firm must have worked for Govt./P.S.U./Corporate Sectors/Banks and shall not have any discouraging/adverse report against their past performance/and should not have been disqualified from any of the nationalised banks/PSU for the similar works.

vii) Tenderer shall provide a copy of valid PAN Number.

viii) Proof of registration with WORKS CONTRACT TAX/valid latest SALE TAX/VAT /SERVICE TAX.

ix) Clearance certificate (all copies to be self attested).

x) Tender should enclose relevant proof for all above noted prequalification criteria.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO CONTRACTORS AND SPECIAL CONDITIONS 1) Should this tender be accepted. I / We here by agree to abide by and full the terms and terms and provisions of the said conditions of contract annexure here to. 2) The EMD shall be accepted in demand draft, from any scheduled bank. As soon as party is selected for award. EMD of all unsuccessful parties shall be refunded. 3) Retention money

The Retention percentage (i. e. deduction for interim bill) shall be 10% of the gross value of each interim bills. The maximum amount of retention money shall be the balance amount of total security deposit. 50% of the retention amount is refunded to the contractor on issue of virtual completion certificate by the architect.

The remaining 50% of the amount may be refunded 14 days after the end of defect liability period

provided he has satisfactorily carried out all the works and attended to all defects in accordance with the conditions of the contract, including site clearance.

4) The total security deposit shall be calculated as per clause-12 of tender of IBA manual. Total security

deposit shall comprise of earnest money deposit, initial security deposit & retention money deposit. 5) Defects liability period shall be as per memorandum. It must be realized that this period is for

exposure of “Latent Defects”. The DLP commences from the certified that of virtual completion, issued jointly by the bank’s premises department & the architects.

6) After opening the envelope containing the offer on the standardized conditions and opening of the

priced tender, no correspondence will be entertained. 7) The tenders shall remain open for acceptance by the bank for a period of 4 (Four) months from the

date of opening of the second cover containing the priced tender, which may be extended further by mutual agreement and the tender shall not cancel of withdraw the tender during validity period failing which EMD will be forfeited.

8) The tendered must use only the Tender forms / documents issued by the bank. If given space falls short for furnishing the information’s, separate sheets may be added duly signed by the contractors. 9) The Bank reserves the right to reject or select the tenders for opening the priced tender and also the

Bank will not be found to accept the lowest tender and reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason whatsoever.

10) The tender form must be filled in English and written/ typed in ink. If any of the documents is missing,

or unsigned, the Tender may be considered invalid by the Owners in its discretion. Each page of the tender document must be signed by the contractor.

11) Rates should be quoted both in figures and words in columns specified. All erasures and alterations

made while filling the Tender must be attested by initials of the Tenderer. Overwriting of figures is not permitted. No. advice of any change in the rate or conditions after the opening of the Tender will be entertained.

12) The Tender submitted on be half of a Firm shall be signed by all the Partners of the Firm or by a

Partner who has the necessary authority on behalf of the Firm to enter into the proposed contract. Otherwise the Tender may be rejected by the Owners

13) The Contractor shall not assign the contract. He shall not sublet any portion of the Contract except with the written consent of the bank. In case of breach of these conditions, the bank may cause the Architect to serve a notice in writing on the Contractor rescinding the Contract where upon the Security Deposit shall stand forfeited to the bank, without prejudice to his other remedies against the Contractor.

14) The Contractor shall carry out all the work strictly in accordance with Drawings, details and instructions

of the Architect. If changes have to be made in the design. The same will be done with the prior approval in writing of the bank/ Architect. Contractor shall carry out the same without any extra charge. The Architect’s decision in such cases shall be final and shall not be open to arbitration.

15) A Schedule of Probable Quantities in respect of each work and specifications accompany these

special conditions. The schedule of Probable Quantities is liable to alteration by omissions, deductions of additions at the discretion of the Architect. Each Tender should contain not only the rates but also the value of each item of work entered in a separate column and all the items should be totaled in order to show the aggregate value of the entire Tender.

16) The Tenderer must obtain for himself on his own and at his own expenses all the information which

may be necessary for the purpose of making a Tender and for entering into a Contract and must inspect the site of the work and acquaint himself with all local conditions, means of access to the work, nature of the work and all matters appertaining there to.

17) The rate shall also be firm and shall not be subject to exchange variations, labour conditions, fluctuations

in Railway freights or any conditions whatsoever. Tenderers must include in their rates Sales Tax, Excise Duty, Octroi and any State Government or Local Authority if applicable. No claim in respect of Sales Tax, Excise Duty, Octroi, Duty or Levy whether existing or future shall be entertained by the Employer.

18) The quantities in the Schedule of Quantities approximately indicate the total extent of work but may vary

to any extent and may even be omitted thus altering the aggregate value of the Contract. No claim shall be entertained on this account.

19) Time allowed for carrying out the work as mentioned in the memorandum shall be strictly observed by

the Contractor. The work shall throughout the stipulated period of the Contract be proceeded with all due diligence and if the Contractor fails to complete the work within the specified period he shall be liable to pay compensation as defined in Memorandum.

20) The successful Tenderer is bound to carry out any items of work necessary for the completion of the job

even though such items are not included in the quantities and rates. Schedule of instructions in respect of such additional items and their quantities will be issued in writing by the Architect with the prior consent in writing of the Employer.

21) The successful tenderer should make his own arrangements to store all the materials required for the work. 22) No advance against materials purchased and brought at site will be made.

The contractor will have to keep the materials at site under their safe custody and at their risk and cost. The Owners are not responsible for damages and losses of such materials brought at site. 23) Contractors are requested to note that no extra item of deviated item of work to be executed without taking

prior permission from Bank/Architects, if the extra item of deviated item of work is executed without taking prior permission, Bank shall not be held responsible for the payment of such works executed.

24) Work should be executed only at the site under the supervision of a competent supervisor with strict

quality control & workmanship Bank/ Architects may inspect the work during its execution at site. 25) The Contractor shall, if required by the Architect arrange to test materials and/or portion of work at his

own cost in order to provide their soundness and efficiency if after in such test the work of portion of work portion of work is found in the opinion of the architect to be defective of unsoundness. The defective material shall be immediately removed from the site. The material shall be of the best approved quality and shall comply with respective Indian standard specification. Fabric for curtain, sofa & chairs etc. shall be purchased as per sample approved by the Bank/ Architect. Sample of all materials shall be got approved before placing of the order and approved samples shall be deposited with the Architect.

26) No deviation in the specification and make would be acceptable. 27) The contractor shall be responsible for complete checking and verifying the entire work to the

satisfaction of the Architect. 28) The work shall be executed in coordination with the other furnishing agencies such as A. C., Interior

furnishers, Civil and other such contractors.

29) All the electrical items shall be strictly according to the bank’s specifications and ISI marked.

30) All furniture such as counters, tables, etc. shall be computer compatible and shall have key board tray, CPU

stand, etc.

31) The contractor shall be responsible for any damage to the property of the Bank during execution of the

work.

32) All the rates quoted shall include transportation, loading / unloading, duties and other such charges.

33) The unit mentioned against each of the items to be followed strictly. If quoted any other unit or lump

sum amount (other then specified ) quotation shall be cancelled.

34) The penalty for work not carried out within the stipulated time period shall be 1% of the work order amount,

per week.
