Let’s talk about some ideas-

• What is your niche/specialty?

• What is something you could do on a regular basis? Think “series” (Thrive in 30)

• Neighborhood? Lifestyle? Something you really like (yes, you could have your own car show)

How to shoot a good video:

• Framing (rule of thirds)

• Understanding 4:3 vs 16:9

• Timeframe- 30 – 90 seconds!!!

– (nobody watches 4 minute videos)

Comedy is great, but for the love of god be careful

Setting up YouTube

• If you have a Gmail address, you can easily setup a YouTube account.

• If not, you still can. Go to your computer to youtube.com, and click “create account” in the top right corner

• You can add bio info at a later time

Now get the YouTube App

• Go to your App Market and just search for YouTube:

• A lot of phones ship with this app installed

• Once installed, open it and enter your login email and password

So. Let’s shoot some video!

Uploading to YouTube

• Once you’ve shot the video, either go to the gallery (Android), the photos (Blackberry), or touch the little “square with an arrow jumping out of it” icon at the bottom left (iPhone)

• Look for the “Share” option

Now Select YouTube!

• Let’s talk some SEO-

– Use descriptive words, but not too many.

– Find words that are searched more often- use Keyword Tool

– For example, using “Convertible Range Rover Water Crossing” netted about 2.5x more views than “Land Rover Discovery II Water Crossing” probably because of the phrase “Convertible Range Rover”

Hit “upload” and away she goes

DEPENDING ON YOUR PHONE:

• Download, install, and configure the Wordpress App

• Upload your video.

• Open your YouTube App

– Hit Menu > My Account > View My Videos

– Find your Video and Open it

– Hit Share > Wordpress
