What is an internship?

An internship is . . .

Capstone of the program

Opportunity to put theory (course work knowledge and skills) into action

Opportunity to “learn the work” in a safe environment—management and leadership

Opportunity to gain confidence in your ability to “do the work” and to “see yourself doing the work”

Opportunity to network with other professionals—networking and sponsorship

Opportunity to reflect on the role and the work

Opportunity to clarify if “this work” is the right work for you

Opportunity to better figure out how to balance your life (personal, professional, and internship)
