Hi. I’m Brian Washburn. And I could tell you about my resume. But that might not be something you remember.

And I want you to remember me.

So I’m going to tell you three secrets about myself. And one of those secrets is something my wife doesn’t even know…

Are you ready for my first secret?

I used to dress up like a giant wart hog and run around in public. I was the mascot for a professional soccer team. And before that I was the mascot for my university. I’ve always loved being able to use my creativity and it’s what I always look for in a job.

My second secret, or at least something you probably didn’t know about me, is that I appeared in Training magazine’s list of Top Young Trainers back in 2011. It was exciting to see my name in print, but perhaps my favorite award had a lower profile…

…it was when a group of high school dropouts presented me with this little apple trophy. It was after my first year of teaching GED classes and I had helped several students earn their high school equivalency. This was a physical reminder of the results I helped others achieve.

So there are two secrets. I have one more for you. And seriously, my wife doesn’t even know about this one…

…I want to be a rock star! I love the stage. But I have absolutely no vocal or musical talent.

So who is Brian Washburn and why is he speaking to you today? I’m someone who has been exercising my creative muscles for 20 years. I love to be on the stage because it’s a platform that can help change the world. And above all else, I crave results.
