Meeting Requests
Support has now been added in both wMobile Phone and Desktop to be able to respond to iCalendar meeting requests.

Meeting Request Functionality
• When you receive a meeting invite you will have 3 options for selection: Accept, Tentative, or Decline. You will also have the option to add a comment when sending your response.
• When a meeting request is accepted or accepted tentatively, the meeting will be added to the calendar in wMobile/GoldMine.
• The meeting request email will be deleted.

Meeting Updates and Cancellations
• If a meeting update is sent, you’ll have the same options to response.
• If a meeting is cancelled, you’ll be presented with an option to remove the activity from the calendar.

Note for Office 365 UsersOffice 365 users should go into their account settings and locate the POP and IMAP settings. Select the options to Send event invitations in iCalendar format. This setting also applies to incoming meeting requests.

Google Maps Integration
• Integration has been to wMobile Phone to use Google maps to get directions to or from your office, from your current GPS location, or a recently viewed contact.
• wMobile Desktop has new functionality to show closest contacts.

• A Google API key is needed for the Google Maps functionality.
• These are available at no cost from Google.

wMobile System Settings
• Navigate to System Settings | Common | Proximity.
• DisableClosest should be set to False.
• The latitude and longitude fields should be entered.

Reset wMobile Cache
• There is now an option in the Manager Console to clear cache for all components or a single wMobile component.
• When the cache is cleared for all components, this would include GoldMine User Security such as ownership settings, GoldMine User Group membership, additions or removal of GoldMine Users, GoldMine DBAliases, GoldMine DBOwner, and changes to GoldMine screens and views.

Clear Cache
• By default, these settings are cached for 4 hours.
• The option in the Manager Console gives administrators the option to force a cache refresh immediately.
• Another advantage of using Clear Cache is that it doesn’t restart the components or services, so all users don’t get forced out.
• However, a user must still log out and log back in for changes to take effect.

Fix for Alarms
• An issue was found when alarm was snoozed or ignored. wMobile was not taking the user’s time zone into account, so the activity wasn’t delayed to the appropriate time. This issue has now been resolved, so snoozing or ignoring alarms will work as expected.

Case Reassignment NotificationsSome improvements have been made recently to Case Reassignment notifications. The email body now includes who the case was reassigned from, the Case number, and subject.
It is also worth mentioning, that for these meeting notifications to be sent from wMobile, email settings must now be configured in Notification Services.

• This can be helpful if you’re not going directly to the customer, and need to stop somewhere along the way.

Closest Contacts
• If a contact is geocoded with latitude and longitude, there will be an option to show Closest Contacts.

• Click Get Directions to get a map from the current contact to the selected contact.

Email LinkingIncoming email can now be linked to Opportunities, Projects, or Cases using the File With Options selection on an email.
On the resulting screen, activity and results can be selected.
The email can be linked to an Opportunity, Project, or Case that is related to the email sender.
The email can be filed in a specific email folder.

Activity Counts Fixed in Home Menu
• In wMobile Phone, there is a count of activities displayed for the Calendar Day, Week and Month.
• It was discovered that these counts were including GoldMine emails. These are now excluded, so only Calls, Appointments, Other Actions etc are included. (For the techies, activities with a Rectype of ‘M’ are now excluded.)

• When you receive a meeting invitation, you can select Accept, Tentative, or Decline.

Show Closest ContactsIn order to use this functionality, there are some prerequisites.
Records must be geocoded with latitude and longitude values. We will be developing a new geocoding service that will be available on a subscription basis. This is expected in September.
To use the Closest Contacts tab, it must be selected as a visible tab. The Google tab is also required.
Select Tools | Options. Navigate to Contact | Tabs. Select Google and Closest Contacts.
The tabs can also be re-ordered if desired.

New Zip Code FunctionalitywMobile Desktop will now assign City and State values based on the zip code. This is true on updating existing records and when creating new records.
If an existing zip code is entered, the city and state will be assigned when the user goes to another field.
If the zip code does not exist in the lookup table, the user will be prompted to add the city and state values.

Option to Suppress Contact View
• This option is located in the Manager Console under System Settings.
• Navigate to Configuration -> Desktop -> UI -> Hide Detail View. Set it to True.
• Restart services as prompted for the setting to take effect.

Lookup List Displayed when Building Filters
• The lookup list was missing when building filters from the Filter pad available in the left side of the Desktop screen.
• This is now rectified, which makes it easier to build filters.

Option to Show More Contacts in Opps/ProjectsThe page size options have been changed for Influencers tab on Opportunities, and the Contacts tab on Projects.
The user can now select to see 10, 20, 50, 100, or 500 on the list.

• We encountered an issue with converting an Opportunity to a Project. This issue has been resolved.

• We found an issue with resizing the History pane. When the pane was moved horizontally, the vertical scroll bar was lost. This has been resolved.

• Support for Project management has been added to wMobile Desktop within the last year, and in this process we’ve streamlined some of the functionality for both Opportunities and Projects.
