We all learn to belong!
To which of the following citizenships (if you will) is your
feeling of belonging the greatest: to your local community, region,
country, continent(s) or world?
Are you a human being of one or many identities?
Are you a human being of one or many identities?
Why?
If we were to draw a line that starts with provincialism in one extreme and reaches cosmopolitism in the other, where would you like to be
described?
And living?
If we were to draw a line that starts with well being in one extreme and folly in the other where would you
say happiness lays?
People normally associate the following components with
happiness: family, friends, work, politics, health, leisure and religion.
Would you tend to agree?
Is there any specially missing from this list?
How similar, or distinct, do you see the concepts of paternity and
maternity?
Is it, or should it be, a civilization goal to reach the absolute parity
between genders?
Would you tend to agree with a woman that wants to be a mother
without a stable relationship with a man?
If we were to divide the world in two: the people you can trust and the people you need to deal with
care, which one is the biggest group?
What about leaders?
Do you believe all individuals have a natural talent?
Which one is yours?
Is your professional life associated with it?
Do you feel pride in being Turkish?
Why you think that is?
Social organization:
Would you say you are interested in politics?
Which one is the most relevant political value to
you?
Generally people tend to place themselves
politically in a line that goes from left to right?
Where would you place yourself?
Does it make sense to talk about left and right?
How distant (hierarchically) do you feel
the average citizen acts from the various
authorities?
In your viewpoint, have science and technology
been net positive contributors to civilization
development?
More than religion?
Out of the three: birth, marriage, death which one do you feel is the
most relevant to celebrate religiously?
Two secretaries run the exact same job, one is
extremely efficient and the other one isn’t.
Should they get equal pay?
People tend to say democracy is the best
political system promoting stable development.
Would you agree?
Do you think nation-states should give more operating
freedom to businesses?
In what extent?
Do you feel there is a public vision for Turkey over the
next coming 10 years?
What would you call out as main components from that
vision?
Global organization:
How familiar are you with the UN millennium
development goals?
Could you call them out?
1. Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger;2. Achieve universal primary education;3. Promote gender equalityand empower
women;4. Reduce child mortality;5. Improve maternal health;6. Combat HIV/AIDS, Malaria and other
diseases;7. Environmental sustainability;8. Global partnership.
Are these looking right?
Is there any specific roadblock we cannot see?
Looking at a country’s political agenda what should come first: global issues or
local issues?
Which from the following do you trust more?
1. Municipality2. National government3. Regional organizations (EU)4. United Nations
How do you think demographics can influence
future development?
How would you rank today’s political, military, economical
and media powers?
And in 2050?
How would you quote wealth distribution today: shameful,
poor or fair?
And in 2050?
Do you trust men have been to the moon?
How much does a bottle of 1L water cost in a supermarket?
How much do you think it will cost in 20 years from today?
Would a coke can sell more if it was colored in blue?
Which one is your favorite brand?
Do you think there will be a world war in the XXI century?
Who’s the most influential leader from today?
Would you vote for him/her?
