Wire wrapping is a technique in which parallel wires are bound
together using wraps of wire. The bound wires can be bent, swirled, curled and fastened in creative ways, leading to innovative pieces
of jewelry. This bracelet is made in one continuous piece with the
wrapping wire carried along the back of the bracelet. It is equally
attractive on the front and back. Heart-shaped autumn jasper
beads bring life to this design with a beautiful blend of faded reds
and warm greens.
Finished Size: approx. 614" (15.9cm) long without clasp

Bend the square wires sharply outward beneath the
wrap.3Fasten an 8" (20.3cm) length of 20 gauge wire onto
the left-hand square wire with a tight loop immediately
after the wrap (see Tight Loops on page 21 in The Art
of Wire).
4
Grasp the center of a 20" (50.8cm) length of 22
gauge square wire in the widest part of a pair of
round nose pliers. Bend both ends downward, then
pinch the ends together beneath the pliers to form
a loop.
1Wrap the end of a 16" (40.6cm) length of 22 gauge
wire 3 times under the loop formed in Step 1 (see
Wrapping on page 17 in The Art of Wire).

String a heart bead onto the 20 gauge wire that was
added in Step 4; hold it firmly and bring the square
wires down along the sides of the bead. Using your
fingers or a pair of chain nose pliers, pinch the wires
together below the bead.
5Bring the 22 gauge round wire diagonally across the
back of the bead, then make 3 wraps beneath the
bead. Bend the square wires sharply outwards below
the wraps.
6
Repeat Steps 56 until there are 10 beads on the
bracelet. Trim away any remaining 22 gauge round
wire. To finish the end of the bracelet, bend both
square wires sharply to the right, crossing the left-
hand wire in front of the 20 gauge center wire. With
round nose pliers, form the 20 gauge wire into a loop
around the widest part of the pliers jaws. Make 1
wrap above this loop and fasten off.
7Swirl the square wires decoratively upward over the
final bead. Trim the wires as needed and fasten each
with a tight loop onto the loop formed in Step 7.
