Thai Patent Act (No. 3) B.E. 2542 (A.D. 1999),
* covering both inventions and product designs. The Acts provide protection for patents, design patents, and petty p p p g p p ypatents. .

- Thailand has an early publication system which can be deferred on request Pre-grant oppositioncan be deferred on request. (1) naturally occurring microorganisms and their components, animals, plants or extracts from p panimals or plants;
(2) scientific or mathematical rules or theories;(3) computer programs and business method ;(4) methods of diagnosis, treatment or cure of

a petty patent for the same invention .
In process of examination, examiner may linstruct the applicant to appear before him in
order to answer any question, or to hand over to h d him any document or item.
