• Yes• At the end of 2011 there were 10,083 Dunkin‘
Donuts stores worldwide.• By 2020 they plan to expand to 15,000 stores
in the US.
William Rosenberg
• Mr. Rosenberg was born in Boston in 1916. He demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit at a young age. A teenager during the Great Depression, he once took a block of ice to a racetrack on a hot summer day and sold ice chips at 10 cents a piece. He brought home $171.
• They sell hot beverages, iced beverages, frozen beverages, bakery goods and Sandwiches.
• Opened in 1948 as Open Kettle in Quincy, Massachusetts. Renamed Dunkin’ Donuts 2 years later in 1950.
Being an Entrepreneur
• He had the drive to start a business.• He was willing to take a risk.• He worked hard.• He didn’t give up.• He wouldn't take no for an answer.
