• Limited CPU capabilities and RAM (180Mhz , 16MB RAM)

– tends to sluggish over time, unable to 100% block p2p traffic

• No interaction between hotspot user and service provider

• Hotspot user: unable to connect to secured wireless network which requires WEP / WPA security keys

• Service provider: Cannot monitor wireless users and manage the bandwidth used.

1) FIREWALL• High performance packet-state firewall• 100% block unwanted traffic congests (p2p protocol, torrent)• Optimizing internet experience with squid (proxy server) improve performance and caches frequently-used content to save bandwidth

2) Captive Portal - RADIUS CONTROLLER• Acts as authorization mechanism to force customer to login before they can use the internet• Simple prepaid-style approach. Customer get/buy prepaid coupon > register > start using internet
