The Whitby Writers group were going in the 1980's. One of the co-editors of Outlet Magazine, Terry Lawson of Staithes was involved with this group and features in it. The Whitby writers took part in various literary events on Teesside, including the Write Around and Merlin's Cauldron Arts fest. The leading members at the time of this anthology were Daphne Wright, Carol Jeffs and Jean Ramsdale.
