A few changes

School begins: 8:45 a.m.

Dismissal 3:05 p.m.

Lunch 11:30 a.m. -12:20 p.m. Eat lunch 11:30-11:55 a.m. Lunch recess 11:55 -12:20 p.m.

Afternoon recess 1:30-1:45 p.m.

Morning recess: 9:55-10:10 a.m.

What might we need to keep improving on?

Recess(es) " Playing games that involve �hands on!�-NO!!!!

"  Nerf type of equipment, aside from basketballs on blacktop. Footballs and soccer balls on the field. " Students are NOT allowed in any room (especially the gym/storage room) without an adult

" Walking out and back in from recess quietly

What do we need to keep improving on?

" Lining up quickly at the bell

Dismissal reminders •  Stack chairs-no more than 6 in a stack •  Remove everything from the top of your desk

and off of the floor (i.e. books)

Use of Washrooms " sign-out, sign-in " recess

Blacktop recess only " Equipment at basketball nets and four square

only

Reviewing proper hygiene " Washing hands after using washroom, before meals, after sneezing, and frequently! �Happy Birthday�

"  Coughing and sneezing-into arm/shoulder area, NOT into hands!

"  If you are sick, STAY HOME!!!

"  Do NOT share food or drinks!

Academics " Remember your strengths and next steps from last year: Keep �Bumping it up!�� " Keep using the agenda daily

" Continue completing assignments and homework!!!

Miscellaneous

Boundaries

Lockdowns during lunch hour and/or outdoor recess

•  if lockdown occurs during the 11:25-11:50 lunch time, PLEASE follow the lead of the student lunch monitor and/or volunteer who may be in your room

•  Discuss/rehearse in class with teacher (white sheet)

Lockdowns during lunch hour and/or outdoor recess

•  if after 11:55 a.m. and most students outside:

•  Whistle(s) will be blown by supervisor(s) to initiate quick gathering

•  Gr. 1-8 outside in rear of school: Lunch supervisors and/or teachers on duty assemble students and move immediately towards Lincoln Alexander.

•  Jk/K students proceed back into school •  Jk/K students: Move immediately back into

the school.
