• Consumer Economics:• Step #1: Read and solve the problem located on your desk
(SHOW WORK)• Step #2: Locate your answer choice on the orange MATHO Board• Step #3: Cover your answer with an X on the MATHO Board
(Some students may have the same problem)• Problem:• If pencils cost 20 cents each and pens cost 30 cents each, find the
cost of the following item located on your desk: (Students will be given an individual problem)
• Students will complete a personal assessment of results and will receive an additional Try Again Homework Assignment if incorrect and an invitation to the Week #1 Tutorial session for further reinforcement.
Math III Support Focus– Step #1: Determine if the following problems are
fully simplified and/or simplified correctly– Step #2: If the problem is correct write the step by
step process in words used to solve the problem– Step #3: If the problem is incorrect or not fully
simplified, identify the error in words and solve correctly
• Students will complete a personal assessment of results and will receive an additional Try Again Homework Assignment if incorrect and an invitation to the Week #1 Tutorial session for further reinforcement.
Math II Support Focus• Students will complete the Right or Wrong Matrices
Activity as follows:– Step #1: Determine if the following problems are
subtracted correctly– Step #2: If the problem is correct write the step by
step process in words used to solve the problem– Step #3: If the problem is incorrect, identify the
error in words and solve correctly• Students will complete a personal assessment of
results and will receive an additional Try Again Homework Assignment if incorrect and an invitation to the Week #1 Tutorial session for further reinforcement.
Today’s Agenda• SWBAT assess their personal mathematical background• SWBAT illustrate and explore the Coordinate Algebra
Support Curriculum Standards to be covered during the school year
• SWBAT interpret and explain the class’s Vision of Classic Success
• SWBAT model appropriate classroom behavior and procedures to ensure efficiency of planned quality instruction– (Coordinate Algebra) SWBAT write an algebraic expression for
each verbal expression – (Math III Support) SWBAT add, subtract, and multiply matrices– (Math II Support) SWBAT identify complex numbers
