Mentally prepare your child for the following changes:

• New P, VP, teachers, aunties & uncles

Ensure that your child has a positive attitude towards schooling.
• You need to be encouraging, supportive and ready to ‘let go’.

toilet, wash and dry his/ her hands.
• Dress independently & put on his/ her socks & shoes.
• Recognise & name coins up to & including $1 coin as well as add coins up to $1.

• Say, recognise & write his/ her own name.
• Understand & follow simple instructions e.g. “Keep quiet.” “Sit down.” “Line up.” “Wait.”

When a child is taken ill in school…• Parents will be contacted by the school to
take child home.
• Child will be brought to the sickbay situated at the General Office where he/ she will wait for his/ her parents.
• Parents must sign the child out in the Early Departure book.
• School will not administer any oral medication e.g. panadol.

If your child has a medical condition that needs special care/ attention/
consideration…
• Alert the school at the beginning of the year
• Submit doctor’s letter for school’s reference if you have any.

• Parents must write in to inform the school via form teacher earlier.
