association.

How it Works?• Official’s availabilities are compiled from 1 Dec 09 to 20 Feb 10.• Each assigner in turn of seniority selects the number of officials needed to support
their leagues.• Ray Lutz—Black Forest League (1-2A), Canon City High School and Karval High
School.• Bob Marken-Tri-Peaks League (3A).• Bob Lantzy-Colorado Springs Metro (4-5A), Elizabeth High School, the Pioneer
League (3-4A) and other varsity opportunities. • Selection process rotates amongst assigners and the number of picks may vary
depending on the number of slots required for each day.• The selection process takes approximately 6-7 hours to complete.• Once the selection process is completed each assigner then assigns officials to
specific games.
Publication of Assignments
• December Varsity Assignments will be published NLT 31 Oct 09.
• December Sub-Varsity Assignments will be published NLT 15 Nov 09.
• All January Assignments will be published NLT 20 Dec 09.
• All February Assignments will be published by 17Jan 10.
Assignments
• Assignments– Can change due to turn backs, cancellations,
reschedules, other assignments and/or at the discretion of the assigners.
• Take advantage of every assignment!• Keep your availability current.• You never know who may be watching
your game!• Get evaluated early in the season
CSBOA 2009-20010 Swing List
• Swing List– Officials are selected by the Assessment Committee. List is
designed to give those officials an opportunity to be assigned a varsity level game when there is an opportunity.

• CSML Sub-Varsity Games– All games will be officiated with two officials.
• Miami Yoder– Will use two courts with three officials. GJV and Boys JV game will be played at
the same time. Followed by the GV and BV games.
Expectations
• Keep your calendar in Arbiter updated.
• Be professional on and off the court.
• Be punctual to your assigned games.
• Dress Code: Business Casual– First impression is important as you represent
CSBOA.
• Call your partner!
Evening with the Denver Nuggets
• January 13, 2010 7:00 P.M. versus the Orlando Magic
• Cost: $55.00 VIP Club Level seats (Normally $67.00). 150 seats available $20.00 3rd Level Corner Balcony (Normally $27.00). 75 seats available.
• 25 kids will be selected to high-five the Nuggets players during pre-game. Meet in the Grand Atrium on the West side of Pepsi Center @ 6:15 PM. Winner will be contacted by Monday, Jan 11, 10.
• Officials will be able to sit courtside for the Nuggets and Magic pre-game warm-ups. Meet in the Grand Atrium on the West side of Pepsi Center at 5:00 P.M.
• Nugget organization will donate $5.00 per ticket to the CSBOA “Official vs. Cancer” fund.
• Chance to fellowship with your fellow officials!
Officials vs. Cancer Fund Drive
• January 25-30 2010• Officials are asked to donate 25% of their game
fee.• CSBOA donated $4725 last year and led the state
in this fund raiser. Colorado officials donated $7968 and was ranked third in the nation behind Connecticut ($13,507) and New York ($13,236). The Colorado goal is $18,000.
• Please support as much as you can!
CSML JV Two person mechanics

Our Proposal
• The cost of a three official JV game $106.50• The cost of a two official JV game $ 82.00• Difference and cost to a school per game $ 24.50• Reduce the travel stipend based on 8 officials $ 16.00• Total cost to a school per game $ 8.50• Based on a 20 game home stand for BJV and GJV
• games, the total cost to a school would be $170.00
