The Shat gambuj Mosque in Bagerhat is a famous heritage.It became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985.

It is a clear image of The Shat Gambuj Mosque.It is situated at the outskirts of Bagerhat town. Orginally, the historic mosque city was known as ‘Khalifatadad’. In 15th century it was founded by the Turkish general, a saint warrior Ulugh Khan Jahan.

East side – There are 11 arched doorways. Number of doems – 77 + 4 = 81

North and west side – There are 7 arched doorways for light and ventilation .

1. Thickness of the arches is– 6 feet and have slightly narrowing hollow and round wall.
