State Objectives

Students in all four levels of Drama will rehearse chosen monologues first alone with recordings. In these “rehearsals” students will be assigned different techniques to incorporate each rehearsal period (35 minutes).

• Students will rehearse amongst assigned groups and both write and be given critiques for their performances.

• Students will then record their final presentations for grading based on technique incorporation and acting ability.

– Per technique that is assigned students will record themselves using audio and submit the recording either via email or flash drive or tape.

– Students will work with previously assigned groups: performing given monologues in their most rehearsed form for their group mates. Group members are then to write a detailed critique of the performances of each group member.

– Students will take the critique of their peers and use it to rehearse one last time before recording using a Video Camera their final performance.

– Students will be graded on both group work and individual performance. Group work grade based off of personal critiques of performances. Individual grade based on both performances and use of technology
