Learning the vocabulary of English There is a very clear relationship

between vocabulary size and professional success.

Word Formation

Prefix = changes the meaning of a word e.g. im- changes the meaning to the

opposite: immeasurable Suffix= changes its parts of speech e.g. –able changes the verb into adjectives (breakable, enjoyable)
