LEVER NOTES
A lever is a simple machine that makes it easier to lift, move or pry things. People have used levers for thousands of years. A lever can be as simple as a rock or stick, or as complex as the lifting mechanism of a dump truck. Whether simple or complex, a lever needs four things to do work: a bar, a fulcrum, a load and an effort.

Levers are classified into three classes based on the positioning of the load, effort and fulcrum.

a) draw a simple “lever sketch” and identify the load, effort and the fulcrum.b) classify as class 1,2 or 3.
