I remember the first time I ever purchased a vehicle.

It was my 2013 Kia Soul.

I love that car, and will continue to for many years.

I also remember that I saved a lot of money on buying my car.

Discussed below are some way to save money the next time you purchase a vehicle.

The first tip is to negotiate online.

There are a couple different ways you can save money.

The first is that if you do this, and have the vehicle driven to your home then you can avoid the financing and insurance upcharges

that usually negate any savings that you may have had.

The second is that it puts you in a better negotiating position because you are only shopping during times that are convenient for

you and not waiting on the salesperson while they hassle their manager.

The second tip to save money on buying vehicle is to pit dealerships against each other.

Again sales people are usually salaried or on some kind of commission based pay so they want to sell as many vehicles as

possible.

This means even if they have to take a small loss in the sale of a vehicle they are still better off than their competitor making

another sale.

The next tip is to bring your own financing before you even enter the dealership.

This saves you time with having to deal with the sales person trying to find you financing, and it also gives you leverage because you

already know how much you can finance, so you can work out the best possible deal for yourself.

Tip number four is to be educated about the car buying process, and what a good deal looks like.

This keeps any less than honorable sales person from trying to take advantage of you.

It also good to walk into the dealership with the attitude that the salesperson is essentially bidding on you and not the other way

around.

Another good tip is to always remember that everything is a negotiation.

As the buyer of the car you want to get exactly what you desire in a car while at a fair price.

This being said the salesperson also really wants to sell you the vehicle of your choice.

This means that as long as the deal you are trying to make benefits both you and the salesperson then there is always wiggle room in

pricing.

This could end up saving you quite a lot of cash in the long run.
